I can easily finish it in much less than 2 hours on God Mode but I don't plan to put a run together or capture it. Satvara might be running it - though it would never pass SDA rules.

Oob glitches are allowed, it should be announced soon. So with the new rule set he doesn't break any rules.

satvara's speedrun is good... but he doesn't use all skip. I think the time unless 55 minutes could be definlety possible for satvara.

Yeah, that skip is too difficult for me. I have tried more than 1 hour and still couldn't get it, so I gave up. This skip can save nearly 20 seconds.
Besides, there are still other good skips/strategies that should be included. But I am not very familiar with these findings as I haven't payed enough attention to GoW1 and I haven't played this game for years. This run is just a rough tiral with the new findings.
And satvara also found some very useful new skips recently, so I think the final result given by him will surely under 1 hour. 55 minutes may be possiable if he can still find some new skips.

Especially with the new HR/HS skips...those have much potential.

Is the swimming impossible to speedrun's rules?

Modify: shen --> I noticed, your style on climbing ladder and moving(R3) could be little better(but it is very fast without it). Check my "break barrier" on - which is beggining at 02:51

A time below hour would be possible nowadays. If only more than 1 people in the world could do the required skips...

GoW II run is also improvable, by quite a lot. (most of the new skips we've found are BP-only though)
