The emulated version is the same thing as the console version except it's emulated on a PC. Unlike the PC version, an emulator mimics the way the console works so it is essentially the same thing as playing it on the console. Using an emulator allows us to take a look at the danger values which you can't do by playing on a real console. You just need to copy what you do in the emu and do it in the console for the speedrun.
It works exactly the same. I can reproduce the same RE pattern in the emulator as with the console.
DCrimson when you said you're having emulator problems, did you add the bios(scph1001.bin) to the bios directory?
I'm making this post assuming you own a Playstation, a copy of FFVIII, and have recieved written permission from both Sony and Square-Enix allowing you to own a reproduction of their products.

Well I have a ps1 and a copy of a game. But I dont have Written permission from sony nor Square. I got the Delta and It came with a list of game's. It said in the discription that It came with all the bios for all the games. I lunched the game and it said Bios are incorrect so I looked at them like I said and all the bios were like "blow.me Kill.me Shoot.me" I mean I just want to be able to play the game on my computer. > > > > > But I don't know how to go about getting written permission for having the game on my emulator.
Heyyy... wait.. i don't know you. Don't confuse me
Besides FFVII from witch the RE Danger Meter usage origins (i guess) has thus far any other game being this dismantled? (Looking past the game directly into the code?)
I think spch101.bin is the last known NTSC BIOS.. got the name from a .dat archive which I reached through No-Intro.. but I don't remember where it was exactly. I have it though, if you can't find it.
A N Y news? Bad news? Good news? Come on, this run is just living on the edge of life. Sth. like coma. And when there is chance to waking up, it dies short after.

For all that someone else would consider holy.. could anyone finally run this game? Geez... its like being in the desert and watching someone wave a bottle of water in front of your nose.
It's like a good movie that has been in development for a long time and just won't release. While you don't get the movie, the build up alone is cool. I mean when you watch the movie, it's just that, a movie, but while it's still being made...
