This site really needs a favicon.ico icon. It's the little 16x16 image next to the address in the browser.
I like to place my bookmarks in a toolbar without names (just the icon) and a site without a favicon.ico interferes with that.

Just place the favicon.ico in the root folder and you're set

Such requests have a much higher chance if you already did most of the work needed. That is, provide a good looking icon.

yeah, was just thinking about this the other day. can help distinguish it from archive.org (for noobs who can't tell the difference), also. just need an appropriate .ico file and we're good to go (assuming radix can't think of a reason not to do it; it would definitely cut down on the 404s in the log).

Instead of the Quake guy (I'm not opposed to him or anything), why not just write "SDA" in obscenely small letters? It doesn't matter to me really, just throwing in my two cents. I only suggest "SDA" instead of the Quake guy, because weird people might think this is a site completely about Quake, rather than it originating from Quake. In that sense, the Quake guy sounds much more appropriate, but I dunno, SDA may be better.

Whatever you guys decide, or not decide, I'll still live with it :P.

Would that work? 16x16 works well to blend colors, much better than what 64x64 was Grin
