Without roaming you won't be able to use the phone, unless I'm very much mistaken …
Generally, when outside of your home country, you won't be able to connect to your 'home' network (for me, that would be Vodafone Germany or Saunalahti, depending on the phone), so it will have to connect to a random foreign operator. Sometimes you can get cheaper fares, if you connect with a partner operator (I'ld have to check, if there is a Vodafone company in Sweden, if so, that one is applicable for me, probably). If you then don't manually select this cheapest network (as opposed to other networks with stronger signals), you'll be paying more.
The term 'roaming' (at least the way it is used in Germany) refers to the connection to your home network from outside that country. If I am called, I have to pay 'everything past the home border', if I call myself, I pay an additional roaming charge to actually reach my home country from where I can connect to whereever I want. Receiving texts is always free in the EU by european legislation. Maximum roaming charges have also been set, and keep diminishing. It actually ended at the funny situation, that it would be cheaper for me to text a German phone from Austria than from Germany xD

Haha Alko that was a very long way of just saying "You have to pay extra for internet on the phone when you're out of country" xD. Roaming just allows your phone to look and connect to the internet out of country while keeping any update systems like facebook/twitter/email/watch or whatever application you got online. Some places are dicks though, I remember I got a message where it said that every megabyte costed like 20-30 kr(!!)

The central trainstation is located at the city area Norrmalm. Trains that go from Stockholm to Gothenburg always stop at the station i Skövde so unless Skövde is mentioned on the sign, a train towards Gothenburg, is were you are going and once you passed by Töreboda, it is time to wait for the train to stop at Skövde centralstation

In the unlikely event of anybody else travelling from Nässjö or similar: There are some construction works happening between I've-forgotten and Skövde (the last few stations), so you will have to change trains in I've-forgotten into one of the Stockholm–Gothenburg ones going to Stockholm for the last station. Loses you 30 mins. The lady said this had been going on for six weeks now, so it should be over soon.
