I've been looking on forums and it seems this is a common problem; Dazzle not outputting audio in OBS. Aaaand its a problem for me as well. So far the only way I can see myself getting around it is either getting a virtual audio cable or getting an  RCA Y Adapter to line in from my laptop. My question is which one is more efficient, easier , and overall cheapest? and if there is another method, what can I do? ALSO (almost forgot) I heard that I could use armarectv to get the sound into OBS, but I have absolutely no idea how to even use it! I downloaded it and it runs fine, but im not getting any sound from there either I cant get OBS to stream just the inner window by itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

Try that first and see if you get audio in OBS. I'll go over setting up Amarec to stream to OBS tomorrow.
I had the same problem, I use Virtual Audio Cable and I have no problems with audio. It's pretty easy once you set it up.
If you're streaming with OBS, you would also need to get "Crossbar Thing", cause it's not implemented like it is in Xsplit.

ok so i shouldve been a bit more specific with my situation. I have a Dazzle DVD Recorder HD. The software that it comes with is called Pinnacle Studio for Dazzle. which I assume is different from the usual Pinnacle studio provided in previous models. On the software when I open up the capturing software (which is called studio importer if that makes any difference) the sound plays through it. BUT when I go into OBS, add the dazzle into one of the sources, and pull up the properties I only get my laptops microphone as an availabe audio source. Now I went to the thread provided by Jay but I have no idea how to do the fix or if it is even possible to do.
"The Fix
One of the programs that is installed alongside Pinnacle Studio, AMCAP (Pinnacle Studio > Tools > AM Capture in the start menu) is the program we'll be using.
"
*do i run Pinnacle Studio as and administrator? or do i run AMCAP?
*Where is the tools panel in Pinnacle Studio?
*Where in the world is AMCAP?! (:P)

I have no idea what im doing.

Also, I was looking into getting Virutal Audio cable but I have no idea where I get it. I saw some different ones online but is there a main Virutal Audio Cable available? And can i possibly get it for free? because I keep noticing that most of these VAC's are a bit costly.

Sorry about not understanding the thread provided, I do appreciate the help though!

Just ignore it and use Crossbar thing. It was an app specifically made by an OBS dev to fix the sound issue. Open it, while OBS is already running and streaming/previewing , open the dazzle crossbar, on the right drop down pick audo, on the left drop down pick the only option available and hit ok. The sound will now work. This process has to be repeated every time you stream/preview. It's because the Dazzle drivers suck balls and default to an option that shouldn't even exist. This is also why Amarec is another solution. It always forced the audio option you chose in config.

Excellent!
The crossbar thing is not 100% that it'll work, I managed to get it to work one time but the moment I restarted my PC (results could be different for you) it wouldn't work ever again.

I just do the workaround where you plug the sound into your computer which bypasses the dazzle altogether and as long as I've done it this way it has been flawless with no issues (again results may vary). If you can get the above to work (or by using Amarectv or VAC) I would probably say go with that. If you go the workaround route, just remember that you are stuck hearing it come out of your speakers but honestly that doesn't bother me.

I should mention that the workaround would probably cost about...$5 altogether? I know I didn't pay much for my cables, like $3 with free shipping since my local store didn't carry anything.
I would still suggest to simply Use Virtual Audio Cable with Crossbar Thing.
The issue with the line in is your audio drivers may not always play nice with line in. For example one PC I has has such messed up realtek drivers that LineIn is somehow spread over two devices and there is no way to isolate it even with VAC. You have to listen to it through your speakers. But there are a bunch of solutions and one of them is bound to work.

If you want to try AmarecTv, the basic setup guide is here. It was written with an older version of Amarec (2.10) but the options menus haven't really changed so that should get you started.

Once you have it setup and configured it to use the Dazzle, swing over to the Live tab in the config menu. All you need to configure are the bottom options for video and audio. The upper portion can be left off/unchecked. For the framerate, 30 should be fine but if you're using the deinterlacer in Amarec you can set it to 60. Don't worry if you're streaming at a lower framerate, it'll still work fine.

Now, in OBS instead of adding in the Dazzle, you add in Amarec's video and audio from the dropdown list. Just make sure your setup matches the attached pictures and it should work fine.

[UPDATE]
Soooo....
First and foremost, thanks for all the help! I really do appreciate all of it!
Second, I went ahead and used Crossbar thing BUT it didnt work at all,
Then I went and downloaded some free versioin of VAC but that distorted the sound and I kept getting this annoying message implying that i was using the free version of VAC
So I thought I was running out of luck...
and i decided to fiddle around with OBS settings one more time before I went and did the armarec workaround..
In the audio settings of OBS (not settings of the dazzle in OBS) I found the line in from the dazzle was an option in it so i decided to apply it.
Then i set up my stream and when i previewed it, no sound came out as well.
But then i thought: what if, by some insanly random chance, the audio might be present in my stream but not through OBS?
So i started streaming, and once i was live on twitch, IT WORKED
I COULD HEAR THE BEAUTIFUL SOUNDTRACK OF THE DUCKTALES MOON STAGE SOAR THROUGH MY EARS!
IT WAS GLORIOUS!
so thats what ive been doing!
for some odd reason i can hear it through OBS itself, but ive tried multiple times on my laptop and phone through the twitch app and the sound was present in my stream
Now I dont have a mic setup yet (I have a Blue Yeti  but im trying to find a way to have it close to me without blocking my small tv but thats another story for another time)
so i wonder if any problems would occur once i do set it up but for now, this will do!
So again thanks to everyone that helped! It really means a lot!
and um..Yeah!!! thumbsup
If you obtain many OBS files, you may wanna edit these OBS videos in Pinnacle Studio. Whereas, when you import OBS files to Pinnacle Studio for further editing, you will probably get some issues like program crashed, black viewer screen, no audio track... So, what's the available workflow for OBS files(MP4/FLV) in Pinnacle Studio? Okay. This article will present you how to work OBS files in Pinnacle Studio flawlessly in detail.
