I should take a moment for transparency, I've had to take a small break from sponsor visiting due to a death in the family. The funeral is tomorrow, the weekend is for family, I'll try my best to get back at it Monday.
Thanks for the update. And my sympathies to you on your loss.
Okay. The current reason I put up just Toel because you mentioned it was the only one you currently could do and I didn't know how long it would take to learn the other route. Only a month away and I know we are all putting priority on games already in the marathon. I'll add it next to your other one.
Been looking at getting my plane ticket. I need to check with my boss regarding that day since it is end of tax season. I originally thought that I could make a 7:00 pm flight, but its looking less likely since I live about 1 hour away from the airport and will need someone to ferry me there, not counting check in time. Not sure if I can get a half/whole day off but I'll check.
Seeing as the schedule is being reorganized from the drops, if someone could consider if a May 1st onward spot is available and swap me around, that will be great. If not, I may have to drop depending on what my boss thinks. Sorry for the late post here. I thought I had it sorted out, but I forgot to consider that I needed to *get* to the air port from work too (and that will end at around 5:30).
I am not Poxnor so I can't give any confirmation but since the schedule is being worked on anyway, I think its understandable if your unable to make it til May 1st. Again don't take what I say as confirmation, just telling you what I think. I already ordered my plane tickets so I might as well post that here.
Flying In: April 28th, 7PM.
Flying Out: May 2nd: Noon
I'll give flight numbers over next few days once I get everything else situated.
MisterMV and me won't be able to come. Main reason is monetary, but not only. I can't really go into details as it's mostly because of RL reasons on my end, but I won't be able to get the tickets as intended. Due to recent changes in my life, I suppose anybody close enough can understand of what I am talking about. I'm sad and ashamed, after all MV and I been through in the past monthes to try to ensure this, but well. Life priorities. I can only hope to come next time, if things turn better for me. I'm truly sorry for all the trouble that this can cause, especially seeing how close we are to the actual marathon. And I'm sad because we really wanted to come and see everybody...
Super-sad news Princess, was hoping to meet you. Hope everything is alright. D:
I missed the callout for donation incentives for our games so I'm getting in late and throwing mine down for Lost Odyssey now, if that's groovy. Bidding war: French vs English voices. Disc 1: Drunk Jansen (Cutscene) Disc 2: Bad Influence (Cutscene, Need to rewatch, might be too long.) Disc 3: 2 Billion Health! (HP Underflow Glitch), Momma! (Cutscene) Disc 4: Extra Bosses: Blue Dragon, Holy Beast, and probably one more (Undecided, 3-4 bosses to choose from, still need to test which is fast and safe.) Extras: Out of Bounds Glitching. (Can be done on discs 3 and 4, possibly best as a finale, because of slightly unpredictable results.)
The sum total of doing all the incentives should be about 35-45 minutes. Is this too much or too little? I can add/remove more stuff as is necessary.
That's my initial plan, I can think of some more, and there's always more bosses and the backyard to do, but I don't want to eat up too much time when I'm already strapped in for 8 hours.
Also as an aside, my 360 is playing up, so LO practice has been infrequent recently, ordered a new controller which should fix it, need to do lots of disc 4 practice (Including incentives), but otherwise I should be alright. Still planning to do more practice with Rini when I'm in Yank-town too. \o/
The estimate for Morrowind would be a whopping 10 minutes, because it's a 5 minute run (maybe 15 because PC setup?).
Also, I really need to know whether KOTOR is going to make it in by the end of this week at the absolute latest. I may know the game like the back of my hand, and thinkshooter's run may provide an excellent starting point, but it still takes time to learn a game and this is already pushing it.
Got my confirmation from my boss today - can I please get a confirmation on the schedule change by the end of this week? I would like to book a flight before tickets start costing more than $600. Any more than that and its probably out of my budget.
I just heard from Poxnor's wife. She told me that he's had a lot of real life stuff going on lately which has made him get behind on marathon planning. However, this weekend they're going to work on C4L prep and answering questions, so we can expect to hear from them then.
Edit: Also, I'm really sad that MV and Rayas won't be able to make it.
I have another bad news: I won't be able to come either I've been invited to a scientific congress at the beginning of the C4L week. Considering that I will apply next year to be an associate professor, and how hard it is to get this job in France, this opportunity can make the difference. I'm really ashamed to decline that late before the event
I am making a new one just so that Poxnor doesn't have to go too far back in the archives to view it plus I added the new games that will be missed on it.

I could learn Chrono Trigger any% as keylie offered, even more easily than even KOTOR, but it would be the same deal in terms of notification. I'll go ahead and extend that to the end of this weekend based on the information in the last few posts here, with the caveat that I only have one game besides Mass Effect. Anything beyond that and I can't be confident that I'd put on a good show. I suppose I could add Morrowind and either FFXII or CT, but that would really be the ABSOLUTE max for me. I'll do it if it's necessary, but hopefully it isn't.
The schedule is updated with the games I added back in. I tried to remember everyone's restrictions (travel dates), but if I missed anything please let me know.
Many of the games offered I put in. I also put KH2 back in (sorry, sleepless puwexil), because it was by far the most popular of the remaining Round II requests for re-addition.
I'd also like to thank Sonira for the offer of art, and Mikalia for that amazing Esper Terra picture. I showed it to the JDRF people in Edmonton, and they loved it!
I'll create a few new threads shortly for dedicated things (like puwexil did for practice), and I'll ask volunteers to take over the first post in each of those threads to manage information. If you want to volunteer, just do so in that thread.
Yeah that's fine, I've been practicing for both. I've got some of the harder skips more consistent now and even found a new one in the process. It's good to see the updated schedule, though.
I do see that Chrono Trigger is still on the schedule under Keylie? I thought they withdrew.
