Remember your mantra.
Hey Ya'll,
I've been streaming Blues Brothers for the Super Nintendo for fun between attempts of other games I am more serious about. To be perfectly clear, I am starting this thread to instigate interest in it, and hopefully generate some competition. I am not too serious about running the game itself, but I recognize that the platforming engine here is very speedrun-friendly, and think someone more talented than myself in this genre could produce something impressive.
Blues Brothers is pretty difficult, but nothing too concerning. My first completed playthrough took me 45 minutes, followed by a 41 minute run, then a 32:53 last night. The reason I am bringing this up is I am keen to see how low someone can get this time. The 32 featured several deaths, a couple of which in levels that caused a pretty hefty time loss. Sub 30 should be a piece of cake.
FYI there are 34 levels in 1 player mode, and 20 in 2 player.
If anyone is interested, I will highlight a run and post it for sake of documenting strats. I have some for almost every level, but I feel they would be easier to show than to describe.
Thanks everyone!
