ROUTE CHANGE.
So after being asked "why do you farm olives like that" for the xth time, I decided to demonstrate the point that Breakdown made by farming olives in Arcadia until they stopped dropping.
What wound up happening is that I reached about 70 (75 maybe?) before it really stopped. I did notice the olives slow down, but I've actually found that doing two farming sessions of 65 olives rather than going with three farming sessions of 45/45/40 takes out the risk and slowness of the extra setup.
It's still luck based, but it has just about as much as the other route. It just makes the farming a lot easier skill-wise, and it means that I'll be getting more attempts and not be going as insane!
So, just to recap, here's the route:
Talk to Zeus
Go to Argolis and get told by green guy to buzz off
Go back to Arcadia, farm 65 olives
Back to the pad of Zeus, get the sandals
Go through forest, kill hydra and get sword (using a damage boost through the burnable bushes)
Go through forest to get harp
Get ambrosia in cyclops room and kill cyclops
Get flask
Kill harpy (WITH THE HELP OF THE HARP, HAH)
Go in scary dark tunnel, kill wizards and get orb
Use harp to go back to Arcadia
Farm up 65 olives in Arcadia
Go to Argolis and use the orb to find the first love fragment
Harp from Argolis to Attica
Fill flask in Attica, and get key
Use ocarina on stone boss, get through to Phthia
Scream, pull my hair out, obtain the divine sword
On the way back to the right, snag the free ambrosia
DON'T MISS THE JUMP BACK FROM THE AMBROSIA
Go in waterfall, use orb to get second love fragment
Harp from Phthia back to Laconia
Go all the way right from Laconia to Crete
In Crete, fill flask with waterfall (I will have certainly taken enough damage to warrant it)
Kill minotaur with sweet stunlock moves, get final love fragment
Go back out and enter Tartarus
Cross fingers to not get shat upon by the RNG gods with their monkeys and birds
Kill the scary invisible man
