Out of curiosity, what sort of things can people not playing games do to help out at the marathon? I'm pondering coming, but I'd hate just to be in the way and not be of any help.

You could also run the donation tracker, interact with the chat, or do any of the other super fun things that need to be done on the marathon administrative side. Live power donating is always fun too. Wink

Honestly going for Moral Support, offer to help work tech stuff (though im sure they've got a group already dedicated to it, it still probably never hurts to have a few random people KNOWING how stuff works), commentary, food runs (one of my personal reasons for going since im driving), etc are all probably useful/helpful. That and you being Poxnor im sure most people would WANT you there XD. And it also just looks like good fun.

Oh and I second Lee's statement.

Does your copy have everything unlocked? Cause I have one that does (I won it at a Goldeneye tourney a couple of years ago). I wouldn't trust my N64 as far as I can throw it right now, but I think it just needs to get cleaned out.

The fact that it is in DC tempts me to try and plan a trip to see my sister around the same timeframe and the drop by to meet people and hang out one or two of the marathon days. I'm not sure I could though since I think my holiday blackout for vacation at work doesn't let up until after January. Would this be something that would be acceptable? I'm relatively new around here but I'm really interested in getting involved in the marathons and helping out.

Um...I'd have to check...which would require digging out of whatever box it's in.
