I didn't find Loopys audio fixer in Germany, but this should be simular I think: http://bit.ly/OBvDvi
I can't attest to quality of the device, but that one would be slightly better in theory since it is male to male instead of male to female, requiring us to use another cable to switch types. But yes that does appear to be the same general device
These look nicer and should do the same thing.

Would anyone be so kind to post an image of a completly finished modded 3DS from all sides? Curious how the case looks etc.
If I am not experiencing any sound problems with the DS Phat board, then it should be the same with the 3ds board right?

Rayquaza3010: That was one good idea ! I had an old USB Soundcard laying around, and using it makes the sound much more bearable Smiley

Thx

Still that ground noise isolator sounds good any might always come in handy, perhaps I should look over to amazon and get two of those.

Thanks for the pics!
Looks nice, probably getting it brushed or sth before I finally fix it on the 3DS, love my white device Cheesy

USB soundcards are nice because you're not worrying about the interference from inside of the PC really, just interference possible around the USB audio device and the data cable connecting the USB port to the motherboard and then through circuitry to the hard drive, so that's probably the best and most efficient idea, so I think I'd probably go that route if I need a card. Thanks for that idea, I didn't consider it before. It'd probably be best to use a front USBThe ground loop isolator I might buy if I have issues might be one of these on Ebay (search for "ground loop isolator gold" -- no one makes stereo 3.5 ones in gold... odd):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/GROUND-LOOP-ISOLATOR-GOLD-PLATED-CONNECTORS-AUDIO-/230656852561

or

http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10844&cs_id=1084402&p_id=6909&seq=1&format=2

or

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NS30-QUALITY-30-AMP-2-CHANNEL-GROUND-LOOP-ISOLATOR-NOISE-FILTER-GOLD-PLATED-RCA-/150671341932?pt=Car_Audio_Video&hash=item2314b6396c&vxp=mtr

Granted I'd have to get two other gold plated adapters so I can turn it into stereo 3.5mm, I'd have other applications for even the RCA connections. This would be the highest solution for adapters I believe for those with the extra money and are super serious. Gold plated items make a tremendous difference in reduction.
Still waiting patiently for the chance to send out my 3ds. Does HDMI work for video yet?

HDMI never left beta stages in favor of pushing the USB board, I'm not sure it was entirely stopped or just put on the back burner.

loopy said earlier he was taking orders from this forum so long as we read his whole bit on current bugs and understood the risk. He hasn't responded to my PM offering to buy though, so I'm not sure if I did something wrong, or he's swamped or what.

Back burner.

Sorry, just swamped.  I'm slowly getting around to answering all my mail.

Beautiful device, beautiful design, beautiful care. Would highly recommend.

Only thing to say negatively is; I can't wait for USB audio. Wink

Completely fine. It is just hard to tell on our end if you haven't gotten to it yet or if you somehow didn't receive it. I just need to be a bit more patient especially if I know people have a lot to do.
No problem on HDMI, figured it was worth asking. Still, anytime you are ready to take my order Loopy, feel free to send me another email (unless you want me to send you another?) I understand that there are bugs and stuff, but that's okay.

good job loopy ..but i will till end of the year to get it ..as i want it cheap.. Smiley
Loopy this think looks badass and I really want one. I need to save up some cash though before I can afford it. How hard is this thing to install? I mean I really don't want to have to pay 30 extra dollars just for something that I could do myself. Tongue

I really cannot wait to get one and show off my OoT3D speedrunning skills!

Out of curiosity: Can this - or will it ever - allow for 3D capture support?
Shake that Wiimote!
In a future software update, I believe.

It's just a matter of software update and yes, loopy is planning to release a 3D update sooner or later.
I saw that your site just updated Loopy. Smiley I sent an email.

Yeah.  I've updated my site with sales info and moved it to a decent host instead of my little Comcast page.

I put a install guide up here.  I don't recommend it unless you have experience soldering and think you know what you're doing though.  If looking at the install guide makes you nervous, you probably shouldn't try it.

I'm considering removing the option altogether.  Dealing with returns and fixing botched installations will be too much trouble.

[edit] Annnnd done.  I took the offer down. If someone really wants to and asks me about it, I'll let them, but I'm not gonna advertise it.  I sent a few out already, so we'll see how that goes first.
I took a look at your page and saw that it wasn't standards compliant, loopy.
But that's okay. You are not a web developer and no one expects you to be, so I took myself some freedom to change the html to make it standard compliant. Good for everyone, right?
If you want it, here it is:

<br><br><b>Software details &amp; limitations. Read before you decide to buy.</b>
<ul>
<li>Supported OS: Windows XP / Vista / 7.  There are no system
requirements other than a USB 2.0 port, although a fairly recent
multi-core CPU is recommended.
</li><li>Software can record .AVIs, take .PNG snapshots, or just be used as a display.
</li><li>Only video is output over USB currently; audio must be recorded
from the headphone jack.  The board is capable of doing digital audio
capture over USB but it isn't supported yet, it'll be made available
with a firmware update later.
</li><li>Only 2D video is output for now.  3D capture is planned for later.
</li><li>The card does not appear as a standard capture device (like a
webcam, etc) to other software. You can use another program for
recording or live streaming, but it needs to be one capable of doing
screen capture (Camtasia, Fraps, XSplit, etc).
</li><li>The software currently uses VFW (Video For Windows), an ancient
API with some limitations, like 2GB AVI size limit and smaller codec
selection. You can get around this by using some other screen capture
program for recording.
</li><li>Depending on your recording setup, you might have some noise in your audio (unavoidable interference from the USB port).  <a href=" Example ]</a>
You can fix it with noise removal in postprocessing, or possibly by
playing with the recording volume levels, or by recording audio with a
different computer, or connecting a ground loop isolator to your 3DS.
I'll ship these with the board when I get some in stock, but for now
you'll have to find your own. Once digital audio capture is working,
this problem will go away.
