Thunderbolt Forever :)
Hey speed-runners,

I've just enjoyed Zerstorer, the greatest (IMHO) conversion of Quake. It's enough hard to run through, and it would be a good job to try to record some speed-running demos on it. Traditional Quake levels became too easy to run, and now all the skill is using tricks, not fighting and finding survivable routes. Zerstorer levels are much harder, so speed-running through them is much more interesting, IMHO.
Unfortunately, my skills are too low for this episode: levels take from 5 to 20 (!) minutes to complete. But why not to try?

What's wrong with these? http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~sda/mkt.pl?level:zer
Hell is where the heart is.
Or for individual Zerstorrer levels go to SDA and choose Tables => Demos from the menu and then click on zer1m1-zer1m6 in the big list of levels.

Thanks. How could I miss that?  Huh?
26:33 is great: I've never been under 40'...
tja, het is verorberen en verorberd worden
I remember when i played some Zerstorer that the internmissions and that one map wich kinda tells you the story anooyed me as fuck and they are not included in those records...i remember you can avoid some of the intermissions not sure if you can do it to all, and the  intermission map I don't know if they played it and just took the demo out or that they did it otherwise

Intermissions are not skipped in old runs in SDA, but in newer they are. However, I haven't yet worked out how to do this.  Huh?
Note that runs with 100% kills and secrets are not much faster than usual speed-runs due to level's features.
It's interesting if Zerstorer (1 episode) could be done faster than Quake (4 episodes).  Wink

I remember when doing Zer4 you could avoi the intermission by very shortly touching the button and move out of the trigger asap
