With the success of all of the tournaments that have been running this summer, we proudly bring to you the newest upcoming tournament: The Legend of Zelda Tournament. There are currently 43 racers signed up for this madness!
The tournament will be run under the popular Any%, No Up+A rules, meaning you can't press up+A on the second controller to go back to the start of a dungeon. Starting on September 12, combatants will square off once a week in Double Elimination format, competing to be the first to rescue the Princess. Speaking from experience, anything can happen in a race; even the top players can lose several minutes due to uncooperative enemies, bomb luck, rabid octoroks, and more.
If you've been thinking about playing the classic Zelda that started them all, now is a great time to start. You have over a month to practice before the first match. Stay tuned here, as there will be a number of tutorials as well available over the upcoming month, to help you prepare to save Zelda and become the champion of the Zelda universe.
Feel free to ask any questions here, or to ask the organizers on twitter at @lackattack24 or @fredcoughlin.
