Been there, Coded that
Please tell me the values Anri-Chan needs to know.

if it's pc screen capture (not output to dvd recorder or whatever) then you don't need values right? just say yes to the pc screen capture question.

could you tell me the info for bioshock?

probably not going to encode it myself, but would be good to have in the database.

Resident Evil 5 - the Xbox 360 version.  I have no idea why it's kind of jittery looking.
you have bottom field dominance.

FFDShow failed me for the first time on this one. Maybe mine is outdated. As soon as I turned off VFW decoding and let CoreAVC kick in, I had no trouble getting the values.

ffdshow.. ftl

Nate, what is your process?
in going along with my planned transition away from windows this summer i used avidemux on mac for the first time with that sample. because the field dominance was wrong before split i just weaved it, field shifted it, then split it again to see the duplicates. avidemux is different from vdub in that you can do interframe operations inside the program with live preview. incidentally avidemux is also the engine behind anrix.

d1 f2 3d.
So what does bottom field dominance mean?
you'll see when you start to encode stuff for real with anri.

maybe. it might not even ask you at all since it's f2. but i could be wrong.

Is that when it asks which is better, top or bottom (when it opens virtual dub)?

Yep.

Avidemux. Cool.

The sample extraction assumes TFF on purpose when splitting. The idea being that you would automatically weave it back assuming TFF again, then figure out the real field dominance.
I have a game I'd like to know the values for please.  http://www.archive.org/details/WurmDfTestSample  It's Wurm: Journey to The Center of The Earth for NES.

Edit:  Is it supposed to be that large (6.38 mb) for a short video, or is there a way to make it smaller?  That would help a lot since I have a slow connection and a limit on my bandwidth.
d4 f1 2d.

this is on a real nes right? if so then you have 1 pixel bob (answer y to the 1 pixel bob question in anri).

if you think 6.38 meg is bad then just wait until you encode the whole thing lol ... unless this game is one of those nes games you can beat in < 1 minute or something. 6.38 meg should only take about 20 minutes to upload on dialup anyway.
I've got another one for you.  It's Blue Dragon for xb360.  http://www.archive.org/details/AnotherBlueDragonDfTestVideo and another one, this one's a clip of the opening fmv: http://www.archive.org/details/BlueDragonFrameratedimensionTestVideo  I made two since the FMV one I made first and wasn't sure if it would be acceptable.

BTW, I hope this doesn't look like I'm doing too many projects at once, and makes me look less serious about it.  For now I'm just researching a few games and making videos to stir up interest.  I'm also glad encoding makes the filesize much smaller.
both are d1 f2 3d.
