I think someone with enough time could make some sort of faq on playing videos so people do not have to make pointless topics on playing videos. You now like how you need to install DivX and stuff. Just an idea

People don't read the pages now which all say "requires divx codec" with a link.
People don't read the submit page. I still get tons of people contacting me with "hi".
People don't read the compression faq. I still get badly encoded videos.
People don't read the news to know what new runs are posted!
Aka it's a nice idea but it won't help anything.
