VHS help?

I was going to record a run recently and since I never had experience doing it, just assumed that my VCR machine would record as soon as I stated playing. I have one of those cable boxes and when I started the game up and pressed record, the tape recorded the show playing earlier on the cable and not my run.

Can anyone tell me how to set it up correctly so it'll work?

You need to set your vcr to record the "input" channel.

I simply inserted the SCART from the console into the VCR and played on the video channel, and it worked perfectly.

That'll work for all consoles that have a SCART cable.

Now, sorry for hijacking your thread, but.

Question.

When I get my NES to work, I'm going to record two NES runs - but the NES doesn't have a SCART contact. Will it work if I just insert the NES antenna cable into the VCR where the antenna cable for the TV usually goes? Do I make any sense?

Im no expert but simply

fist tune up your NES or any Console to a channel i.e channel 7.
one wire goes from the console to the VCR.
one wire goes from the VCR to the TV.
VCR should have input and output hence two wires.
Now set the vide to say channel 0. put on channel 0 then chane the video channel to 7. (lol I dont think your getting any of this but i'll continue anyway) put your nes on. Now in theory, the nes should be on screen becuase you are watching the video show the channel 7 channel. (You know what forget it). Lips Sealed
