I know most runs ban this. My question is why? I've seen the argument that it breaks the game but most glitches can. Or that you can't do it on a non broken snes controller but I just tested it and was able to do it on one, granted I had to bite down on the up and press down with both thumbs to do it( I took my controller apart afterwards to make sure I didn't break it) just trying to get to the bottom of it. Thank you.

Impossible inputs: Some games, such as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, show unusual behaviour when one feeds them with usually impossible input, such as up+down pressed simultaneously. As such actions require worn out controllers, non-standard controllers or excessive force, they are treated as hardware modification and are thus banned as well.
Thank you
