okay, so this game is awesome but really glitched imo, you can go much more faster with amadeus, but it's really hard to control

Yeah, amadeus definitely top tier, you just have to spawn a crate and push it backwards while moving or not (I think moving is faster tho), this technic is really hard to control right, but it's very fast, i'm not even at fullspeed here!

So, I've also fallen in love with this game.  I played through it casually and spent over half my time bumbling around not knowing about any skips and still beat it in only 4 hours.  So I imagine this could be a very short SS run for a collectathon.
Two more skips I've found:
Fly over the intro puzzle in the Astral Academy

Fly over the Ornate gate in Redwood Forest, skipping the puzzle and battle:
Very fun game to speedrun. However, I don't like how easy it is to just go out of bound and skip everything. It's probably possible in every single level to use Amadeus to go out of bound with a cube and skip half the level. I might try an no-oob run.

Rayman, depending on the area, its very easy to boost Amadeus with a cube. The problem is the camera, when it follows a straight line it's easy and where it does not, it's nearly impossible. For example, it's nearly impossible to do it in the ship-wrecked part in your video, but it's super easy at the start of Astral Academy.

Amadeus is OP

Well it's true that it's so easy to go out of bounds, I'm not sure how useful it is except to skip cutscenes or battles.  I mean, there's only 1,000 golden triangles in the game.  To unlock the final world, you need 900.  Skipping major portions of levels means no triangles.  Which means you can't unlock the final world.  Unless people are playing it in a way that means you don't need to collect triangles.  If that's the case, tell me how.  Also, Amadeus is indeed OP and Pontus is great for just climbing walls.
You're right, I didn't realize you could create a new game. Collecting the trineangle is way more fun than completing the level while skipping everything.

So, I did an any% run (new game to final boss) with a lot of pointless deaths and probably 10-15 minutes of time loss in 2 hours and 5 minutes.  For a first attempt, I'll take it.  This will be a really good game.
It is a very good game, that's too bad it gets so many bad reviews. I've played all 3 Trines and this one is my favourite.

I'm in the process of creating a route for each level, doing a 100% run on PC. I have a route for ~30% of the game, I'll probably upload some levels to share it with everyone and get some feedbacks. The difference between PC and console will probably be huge, as I don't see how some tricks with Amadeus can be done without a mouse.
NowOwnsAFreaking Plane
I have never played this game with mouse and was getting some of the Amadeus tricks to work with an Xbox 360 controller.  There's just much harder to line up.  I've also found jumping once you start a speed increase can get you across gaps quickly, although I haven't gotten it reliably anywhere yet.  Also, my run included load times.  Considering the fact I've got a bad PC and some levels take around 1 minute 30 seconds to load, there is some issues with my run time.
I did 2 runs today, 59m51s and 58m01s with loadings and deaths. Sub 50min sounds possible. They were both at 900 trineangles, as I gave up the idea to do a 100% run. I'll try to record one.

As for crossing gaps, it is possible to drag the cube under your feet while your a jumping, and cross any gap in the game. It's pretty hard with a mouse so I don't know if it is possible with a Xbox controller.

This very cool sounding skips!  I'll want to see some videos of them and try them myself.  With an Xbox controller, you can place one box on top of another box and control the bottom one standing on the top one, which I did use over multiple chasms.  But that jump trick will be much faster, obviously.
I uploaded two short videos to visualize the tricks I'm speaking of.

You can literally do anything with Amadeus.
Also, I have just recorded a pretty high quality run clocking at 46m54s with loadings. It can still be improved by minutes but I doubt that under 40min is possible, I'll keep trying.
Sub 1 hour in GoW:GoS is my GOAL!!
All of this looks sweet as hell guys let's keep at it, I can't play the final game at the moment but seems like you handle it very nicely ! Amadeus is broken but as newman said Pointus walljump ability should not be underestimate too
I have just uploaded 3 more videos to show movement tricks which can be used throuhout the game

I love SpeedRuns
Just picked up this game since i pretty much speedrunned 1 and 2.
Found a way to get to the last boss in Astral academy

* DId it once without any fails.. got up half that time.. but didn't record :p
I recently found out there's an level editor for Trine 3. It lets you pull up the all the maps and look around at a lot of cool stuff. Using this, I was able to find a skip for the junk monster in chapter 4.

This can save some time in single player, but since you can't skip cutscenes in multiplayer, that's where this route really shines.
Great find! I didn't know that the level editor was so well built, I'll take a look at it myself.

I've made a 35minutes ish run many months ago but I wasn't satisfied with it, then I moved on to other things. This level editor might spark my interest again.
Here's a strat to skip the fight at the end of Chapter 1:

I don't know if this works in multiplayer, I only tested single player.
Another bit of tech, this time for "A Whisper of Evil"

This should help out the runs that actually collect Trineangles since this map used to be one of the slowest/hardest side missions. Now it's probably the fastest.
I found a way to fly anywhere that the camera follows you. This works in any version.

I recently found this video that includes some useful stuff not posted here:

Most of this has been outdated with more recent tech, but there's some good stuff in Astral Academy in particular.
A Squabble in the Jungle has a small time save that involves bypassing an enemy spawn:

I made a tutorial explaining how to do the Astral Academy Fight Skip:
