Not sure how many people have heard of Transformice, but its an online MMO aimed at the teenage demographic where the base game mode is to navigate an obstacle course with the help (or hindrance) of a single shaman (person who can make platforms and do other similar things) in order to acquire a cheese and return to the hole. This sounds fairly simplistic, but the learning curve is extremely steep, the physics are complex, movement needs to be extremely optimized and the whole community is competitively based around getting to the hole first (its rare that a few people dont finish within tenths of seconds of one another). Essentially, its a platforming speedrunning trainer.

I've played this game quite a bit over the past few years, and I think it would be a fun thing to figure out an actual category for it (as it technically doesn't have a beginning or end aside from the individual 2 minute levels).

One thought would be to do a co-op run with someone else, and have the two people alternate being the shaman and being the normal mouse, with the goal being to complete all of the vanilla levels ASAP. You would probably ban skills just to make it interesting, but this would probably take a good 20-40 minutes and I feel it would be entertaining to watch. Required skills would be menuing (switching levels), optimizing building (both speed and technique) and of course platforming.

I've never speedrun a game before, let alone planned a new catagory for one, so i'm extremely eager to hear constructive feedback on this idea, both positive and negative. Please, help me make this work or figure out why it wouldn't.
