Thunder Force IV - Or known as Lightening Force in North America, is a side scroller space shoot-em-up game for the Sega Genesis, released in 1992. Yes, sadly when they released Lightening Force IV for North America, they DID spell it incorrectly. I managed to find my old Sega Genesis in working condition, however I have not the hardware required to record my play times legitimately. I will try to find something to record my games with in due time, however, I do imagine I will be having fun timing this run.

Since I played this game religiously as a child, I do know this game inside and out. Asking for a "No Death Run" would be asking for a miracle out of me. Even as a child, this game was extremely difficult. Even if I do know where and when each enemy will spawn and how fast his attack is coming at me.

This run will consist of:
- Difficulty of Normal
- Start off with 3 lives
- The 4 starting levels (That can be chosen in any order) will be the original starting 4
- The run will be single segment

Some deaths will be intentional since some bosses are weaker while using the Twin Shot instead of the Blade powerup.

Any other exploits known would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks,

My feelings on The Demon Rush
Auto-scrolling shooters (shmups) are not allowed because the only thing you can speed up are the bosses. Look at this part of the faq. http://speeddemosarchive.com/faq.html#planning (ctrl+f autoscroller)

Also, shmups are best played for score IMO.

EDIT: Oh hey, someone did a score run on super-play. http://super-play.co.uk/index.php?superplay=206

Another edit: No-miss means the guy didn't die.
