It's time for some HEErooooOOOOHi cs!

Well, my other stream got massacred by the great copyright infringement monster known as Square-Enix *or so I'm assuming* so with the dawn of a new year comes the dawn of a new stream thread.

Here's a little backstory for those that care: I started streaming back in mid to late 2008, I began in poverty. Streaming the mighty Demon Rush for all the internet, I was also kind of a jerk to everyone back then but I chilled out over the last few years. I met a duder named Romscout one stream and watched him play some Banjo Kazooie late into the night, one thing led to another and around early 2010 he finally got me into the speedrunning community. There will be many tales of triumph, sadness, poverty, and resets on my stream, though I will not always be doing speedruns. I tend to do casual gaming quite frequently so if you're into that there is almost always something to watch during my stream.

I'll try to give a quick rundown of what you'll most likely see on my stream for this year:

Speedruns:
(NES) Castelian - poverty exchange game with PJ
(NES) The Krion Conquest - poverty exchange game with RaneofSotN
(NES) Dr. Chaos - run planning and attempts
(NES) Wrath of the Black Manta - for the hell of it cause it's so bad
(NES) Totally Rad - run planning and attempts
(NES) Ninja Gaiden - record attempts
(NES) Ninja Gaiden 2 - learning
(NES) Metroid - death abuse speedrun practice
(NES) Star Tropics 2 - cause I doubt anyone else would haha
(PC) La-Mulana - improving my own run to be sub 2:20:00

Uh-oh, I wonder what it says about me that I also liked Startropics 2 (maybe I've been hanging around with PJ and co. too much, or maybe it's the muddy waters fault Lips Sealed

). The exploration sequences & cutscenes are definitely poverty, but I thought the improved combat mechanics over the first game (moving/jumping is less clunky, being able to attack in 8 directions, etc.) made the dungeons plenty of fun to play.

Also, Totally Rad is ......... totally rad, dude (even with the tons of cutscenes that talk about your magical powers getting stronger, despite you having the same abilities throughout the whole game)!

I played Startropics 2 sooooo much when I was younger. So much. I used to beat that game every day. I'd do the final boss rush a few times every day. It was such a good game. I should really play through it again.

Tonight from 12 AM to 6 AM PST I will be streaming Deadly Premonition. Be there or be asleep like normal people!

Also, may have some afternoon and evening poverty time around 4 PM or so.
