My first post in these forums!!!
Marvin, Mandel and I just did a special run through quake. We used the ID routes, not the qdq routes.
You can download it here:  http://www.mandelmassa.net/tIDr.dz
Or if you prefer zip you can get it here: http://www.mandelmassa.net/tIDr.zip

I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
very nice! Its cool to see the alternative routes and some very slick running. I wreckon you could have got away with gjump secret for e4m4 (it seems to me id intended you to put a grenade in that little hole and then stand on top of the grenade and let it blast you up - no jumping required)  to speed things up but thats your call....

Oh and IMO this would have rather boring with RDE anti bunny code.
Hell is where the heart is.
I thought that, too.

When I discussed it with Mandel he said they wanted to do the whole run without using any secrets, and it's a secret. So they didn't. Fair enough I thought. :-)

1st, I'm preety much no1... I just like to watch the demos and I confess I tried sometimes, but all I did was make some (not funny at all) Quake Bloopers...

when I watched this demo I tought what was the route concept that you used for running it
'cause sometimes you'd skip a set of stairs and rjump over it
and sometimes not...
I don't get it

btw great job, I love seing this stuff

Yeah well what can I/we say. Since there were three runners, there were also three different views on what would be allowed and what wouldn't.

Generally I think the level of ID route adherence is good although there were places where we couldn't agree. And there are some stuff we missed unintentionally as well.

But to be honest this project wasn't as much about correctness as it was about the running! We had buckets of fun running it (I did at least) and hopefully it's entertaining to watch as well. Sorry if the route technical considerations decreased your viewing pleasure, that wasn't our intention Wink
