A new quake project has seen the daylight. It is a 2-player deathmatch mode run through quake, getting all secrets of every map in 11 minutes and 2 seconds - done by me and Aleksander 'sidd' Osipov.

The movie can be downloaded in dzipped or zipped version:

Hey

NahkahiiR, sidd (and also the|navigator)

Good work! Good idea with going for all secrets. You have done it much more interesting than the initial concept.
Finally I know the number of all secrets in Quake Smiley

Ankh
Heh, now 8 months later I have done my own project, still finding secrets. Smiley

I hope ya like it. Smiley

This kind of looks like an idea you suggested to me a few months back. Smiley

I think the main reason why I like solo Quake speedruns is because you really get to see an individual runner's style. Your bunnyhopping has progressed quite a bit, and I see some hint of dual twisting bunnyhops (in E4M1). I originally thought something like this would be done in multiplayer, but it would have made it too much like THoS, or so I think. All the routes in the project seem to be quite optimal. I might have a look at some of the maps, just for fun. Not sure how you feel about me improving some of your times, especially after all that slapping in ftfs100b.bsp. Smiley
I say it in the text file that I expect others to improve those times. Smiley So go on, I want to see them done optimal. Smiley
Mandel removed files from his temp folder, so my solo run is no longer available. Luckily I downloaded them a while ago and I have to look for another place to keep them...
