SEGMENTS
Part 1 (cutscenes galore): The run is already gaining time over the old run in this short segment. The little play there is in the segment is very optimized. Great use of watersliding. He gets a little hung up at the beginning, but this costs him a second at most.
Part 2 (Bianco Hills): A few minor mistakes here and there. Grabbing edges, missing two instant Shines, and that damn rope. About 1 minute is saved here compared to the run currently on SDA (not counting the run to the start point in the old version). A good improvement. It may be a good idea for future runners to just run under that rope from now on...
Part 3 (Ricco Harbor): Good use of watersliding and some good strategies. I like how Shadow Mario is taken out before he even takes his first jump. The cage trick on its first try was good, and some great improvements were made. A couple mistakes, including the fall in Episode 4 and the missed coin in Episode 6 (which probably costs 10-15 seconds). Saves about 1:17 on the old version (not counting the run to the start point).
Part 4 (Gelato Beach): Getting hit in the first minute of the segment doesn't cost the runner anything but his pride. This run really makes major improvements to the run currently on SDA by adding some nice watersliding action. He got those tricky Coral Reef Red Coins pretty fast. Everything goes great, except for a few minor slip-ups. Episode 7 goes a little long. Overall, saved around 2:20 over the old version (not counting the run to the start point).
Part 5 (Pinna Park): This segment should not have been accepted. At the end of Episode 3, the old run is ahead by almost 20 seconds. Missing a rocket on Episode 1 costs around 10 seconds, and falling twice on Episode 3 costed a lot more. Then there was the fall in Episode 6 at a point when the old run used a less risky strategy. The end result is a segment that is around 17 seconds faster than the old run's segment, which would've been around 15 seconds slower if not for the run back to the start point. Keep in mind that the old run barely ever used watersliding.
Part 6 (Sirena Beach): This is another segment that should not have been accepted. The Manta Ray is defeated in 1:30, saving 7 seconds on the older run, but Scrubbing Sirena Beach is slower than in the old run. It should've been obvious which part he missed. Shadow Mario is also taken down much faster in the old run. I understand the point about needing a lot of luck, but the non-luck portions need better execution. In the end, this segment is a 16 second loss over the old run.
Part 7 (Noki Bay): These segments are getting worse. He's leading by about 10 seconds after Episode 2 due to a route change. He loses this lead in Episode 3 after overshooting a red coin. Episode 4 looks utterly terrible, but it's about the same as the old run. He loses a shitload of time on Episodes 6 and 7 compared to the older run. A total of 33 seconds lost. This segment is nothing to be proud of.
Part 8 (Pinata Village): A solid segment, but it ends up breaking even with the old run on SDA. In Episode 3, the runner uses some risky strategies that end up paying off, but gets stuck on the golden mushroom at the end for a bit. Nothing to note in the other episodes.
Part 9 (Corona Mountain): This could've used a few more tries. 13 seconds were lost in under 4 minutes. The run deals with the plaza faster, but the runner starts hesitating and begins losing time on the platforms and the (god-awful) boat. This run tries to use watersliding on Bowser instead of getting between the sides by using the Rocket Nozzle jump, but it looks like he botched it a few times.

The first half of the run is very impressive, but the second half of the run is nothing special. However, it's an improvement of over 5 minutes, and therefore I will accept this run.

Noki Bay Shadow Mario probably could have been done more swiftly.
Slight error before the final hit on the Bowser fight...probably could have been restarted due to how short of a segment it was.
Also, at 4:03 of the final segment, the video gets messed up, stops playing, and the picture gets patchy with no sound. If this is an issue on Nate's end, I'd say fine. Otherwise I think we need this segment re-done. (note: no one else had this problem)
Overall, I thought it was pretty impressive, mostly smooth execution and precision of maneuvering, and quick. Accept, and good job

#1: A day at the beach isn't that bad. But to steal the treasure inside of the sand castle, that's mean Sad.
#2: Well done! I wouldn't certainly not like to slide on my stomach on the sand for that long... The pain...
#3: Quite good. Camera angle made him miss Wiggler once though, oh well.
#4: Got to love the 1up. Not much to make fast when riding the bird, well done.
#5: An easy star.
#6: No problems with the fish here! That's nice.
#7: Bowser Jr. (OMGZORZ, spoilers!) went down pretty quick, not perfect this time but OK.
Segment 5:
#1: That's one deep fountain... missed one missile during the fight, previous run didn't.

#4: Too bad he missed the second double hit. Not that bad though.

#6: Had some problems with the bananas at start. The rest wasn't bad however.

Quite a lot of time lost in this segment and it isn't that much faster than Dragorn's run. I would have considered a redo on this one.

#1 Nice start! I've never liked to kill the mantas, I find it annoying. And it's lame that they can go in the water without getting hurt but they are killed
when Mario shoots water at them. Logic is in the air. He got hit a few times during the battle, but the mantas are quite random so it's hard to make it good
enough.
#2: I guess I'll have to live with the fact that he might not get any more 1ups in these levels. Life is tough. Btw, good star!
#3: Some mistakes in the beginning, jumping into the wall twice in a row. The rest of the part was nice.
#4: Lol, getting stuck on the pipe. Bad luck after that... took a long time to get 777 the second time. After the bad luck it was time to show some skill.
#5: Better luck against the King at least.
#6: The record here, as far as I know, is somewhere around 2:29 left on the timer. I don't expect this to be as good, but it could still be quite a lot
faster with a different tactic.
#7: Too bad he got hit just when he was about to finish him off.

#1: Some more shortcuts could have been taken on the way to the top. Not bad anyway.
#2: "You must find a way to fight it." Seriously... Hardly even Navi gives useless comments like that. He sure knew how to fight it this time as well.
#3: Nothing to complain about. Good good.
#4: Not the most perfect fight here. Not the worst either.
#5: No need to break any records here. Another easy star.

Bowser is just a little bit bigger than SMB... The fight itself is so easy it's boring. I was really expecting more when I first played the game. Oh well,

The run is well done. Audio and video quality is fine and I couldn't find any signs of cheating.
