Hi! I'm andrewg!

I know a few tricks that may work for console, but i'm not sure. Basically, we went through the game like crazy when we TASed it, there were a lot of tricks and weird things that were fast, but not the fastest, so I'm betting I could give some improvements. At least, I'd hope so. There may be some ways to do some of the more ridiculous tricks, but console friendly. I'll keep you updated on this.

Hey guys. Today I started a Peach only run of this game. My route from 1-1 to 6-1 is nearly perfected. I can get through the levels without taking a life, just not too consistently yet. However, I'm having trouble getting past 6-1 altogether. I'm always getting hit by the shy guys on the way down to the key for the last room. I'm also havin trouble actualy defeating Birdo. I always ending up fighting her with only 1 health, as I always get hit before I even enter the room. I have looked up speedruns of the game and have seen the normal way for killing off Birdo in 6-1 quickly. However, even with 2 health, I don't have the coordination or skill to get 3 hits on her before she kills me. Tips on either of these would be very helpful and greatly appreciated!

Manipulate the shyguy's direction by digging in different horizontal locations. You can "dodge" birdo's fireball by picking up the mushroom block right before it hits you.

Also because Peach pick up the mushroom block the slowest, you have a bigger window to not get hit by the birdo egg/firevall while picking it up. Just pracitce the timing and you should be all good. As far as I know, you should look up barnowl on SRL, he is supposed to have the "wr" for Peach only! Wink

On another note: Just picked this game up, have learnt up to 4-2, which is kinda bashing my head in.. so tight jumps

So, any thoughts on using Toad in 3-2? I tried jumping across the chasm with the Shyguy but I couldn't really figure it out.
I think I'm ready (practice wise) to do a warpless run, just a question of when

Ok, you can save a sec or so in 2-1 by digging down on the right, but you might get hit by the Snifit bullets, or too many bullets will stop the star from spawning.

I think the stream quality will be better next weekend.
