you're right!Hotarubi often focuses on a game for some weeks and gains a very good time,then he leaves away.But he seems like to achieve his own goal (i,e, below xx:xx time) rather than world record (he usually doesn't go back to a game played before)

I think because hotarubi doesn't plays on real nes and language problem,so many of his runs doesn't appear in youtube.

Why not through Bowser hammers Andrew? Thats slowdowns looks like really ugly.

Otherwise great job your 100% run. I think this jump through hammers not are real trouble for you because you are make it several times your warp runs.

To be fair in his warp runs he hammer jumps once and at worst loses a 5 minute run. On warp less he'd have to do it multiple times and could lose 18 minutes of work

BTW can SDA change time rules SMB runs? I think one seconds improvement is way too hard to make. Hundreds will be are allowed too. Andrews are beat his SMB run couple times faster than current SDA run.

Seconds time rules no are accurate enought IMO.

If Andrew can cross 4:58.5 I think it should be submittable, but that's about it. If a game can't be improved by half a second, it's finished.

I totally agree this.

This current SMB run look like perfect everywhere like two previous runs too. Its long way to reach these 70-80 hundreds off with this. IIRC this current SDA run was 4:58.9x.

Warpless attempts are becoming frustrating. I'm using fire strategies, but having little success with it. :/ I'm tempted to do just small-only runs, but since fire is faster, I'm really trying to perfect it. Wish me luck.

As far as warp goes, I will continue my attempts shortly. I'm going to start doing warpless and warp attempts every session. 4:57 will be mine!

...I hope.

Warpless will be destroyed when I finally finish a run. My runs are still pretty sloppy as I need more practice, but yesterday I was about 8 seconds ahead after world 6 (and I took a hit in level 5-2, and had quite a few mistakes).

I'd like to get 19:05. I definitely think a 20 second improvement over hortarubi's run is possible. After this run, I think I'm going to work on some other warpless runs Smiley

EDIT: Warp attempts for this are going strong. Though, I haven't had much luck lately. Don't expect a 4:57 anytime soon. However, I will keep making attempts consistently until I get it, regardless of how much time it will take. There's a good chance that 4:57 will happen if I keep my promise with this. I still think it won't happen for a few years. Wish me luck.

Very good chance I'll hit a lower 4:58 fairly soon. 4:57 is another story, but I think it will happen one day.

For a 4:57, I don't think you can lose a single frame rule. This means I need to get the 4-2 trick with 2 jumps AND pull off the bullet bill flagpole glitch in 4-2.

It's hard, but I know I can do it for sure. I'm betting it will take 7 months for me to get 4:57 if I put in the time and effort. It will probably take substantially longer, but I'm optimistic.

I have no doubt in my mind that Kosmic can top my personal best time. However, I know I can top my own time by a bit as well. I still want that 4:57!... I'm thinking we'll see a 4:58.0x time from me shortly (fingers crossed for 4:57).
