Hey.. I'm thinking about doing a no death run on Super C for SNES. I've done it before, i just haven't ever videotaped it. What do you think?
Thread title:
lol oops i meant for NES. not SNES.
Hell is where the heart is.
I don't know the game at all. But if you think it'd be interesting for other people to watch and wouldn't be too long then why not. :-)

There's one there, but it's done with the slow-mo emulatorness.  I'm sure some people would like to see a genuine run.
hmm. well i guess that sorta sucks that someone's already done it... but even if i do record it, i'm not sure what to do. I MAY be able to record it with my digital video camera, (which i dont think is going to work) or i could record to vhs, and if i had to record to vhs, i wouldnt be able to get it on my computer.

What does everyone else do when they record themselves?

Generally DV cameras take digital videos, as in, you can dump them straight onto your computer.

At least, thats my experence with them.

Once you have them on the computer you just use some prog to edit the resolution and quality to your likeing and compress them into divx or something.

Thats how I plan on doing mine anyway, but seeing as I have yet to actually do one I may not know what I'm talking about.
I'm addicted to games
Recording with a video camera is a bad idea... it's impossible to have it perfectly aimed at the tv, recording the tv ads video noise, and you'll be picking up sounds in the room, like you swearing when things go wrong.  Recording to vhs is always best if you can't capture it live.
AFAIK Peter Yang is still holding the records for completing both Contra and Super C as fast as possible (Contra in 13 minutes, Super C in 16 minutes). You can find more information about his runs and some (broken) downloadlinks here: http://omega.med.yale.edu/~pcy5/games/
