Summer Marathon Prizes

Everything's better with Magitek

I've got a question about the 3DS and OOT. Since I get free two-day shipping through Amazon, if I wait until after the marathon to buy them, I can have them shipped directly to the winner for free. This would mean that we wouldn't have the actual prizes to show off during the marathon, though. So would it be okay for me to wait to buy them, or should I order them now so we can have them here?

I think it's okay to wait. I'm pretty sure anyone who really wants to see what those prizes look like can just do a google image search. It's not like a plushie or perler where people have to see the prize to really want it.

I haven't kept up much with the thread, so was there a decision that we should avoid donating used games? No problem if so; I just wondered because my suggestion of donating my copy of Goldeneye for the Wii (comes with golden classic controller) is not on the first post.

I think they should work for donations throughout the entire marathon until VVVVVV, and as long as they're 2.50 or more then they're entered for the prize drawing once VVVVVV is done.

I would say 5 dollars or more, but VVVVVV is 5 dollars.

Here's a couple ideas:

1. Set a specific dollar and cent amount for each game. Have people donate during the game, and whoever gets closest to the amounts gets the code. So like $1.32, $3.81, etc. You could do this on different games as well, not just on the VVVVVV speedrun.

2. Alternatively, for a larger range, set numbers. Or you could do the old classic game of having a jar of marbles, and guess how many are in the jar. Put the jar visible on stream and have people donate. That'd be fun for any prize really. And naturally you could replace the marbles with anything similar.

I would like to know on the used game thing myself. I still have those extra 1.1 JP copies of LttP that I'd like to donate.

NOTE: These are not the speed running copies of the game. They are just regular Japanese versions with one tiny extra trick you can do on Ganon.

My feelings on The Demon Rush

I'm going to add these prizes to the schedule soon, but I figure everyone should get a peek before I do. Lindsey Layne King finished two animations cels she is offering as prizes. One has Sora, and the other has Kirby and Metaknight.

Here's the Red Knight from Castle Crashers. I want to give him his mace and shield, but considering I still have another five prizes to make (working on the katamari hat right now; scrapped Rayman and the Soldier Heartless), I'm going to wait until I finish the others. If I get more of them done in time I'll make and attach his accessories.

I guess I should post pictures of the perlers I made for the marathon now that I have them finished and sent to Essentia.

VVVVVV Coaster perlers. Sorry for the blurry image. I didn't have the camera at the moment so I had to use the 3DS camera.
Cave Story perlers. Pictured is Toroko, King, Sue, and Balrog.

I also have a DK '94 perler that isn't pictured because I forgot to take a picture before I mailed it out.
