As before, I'm local, so I can (but won't unless necessary) bring a Wii (black, MM9 & MM10, cave story, ff4:later years), Sega Saturn, Sega Genesis, NES, Playstation, Playstation 2, Dreamcast,  Xbox, Xbox360, or SNES.

I don't know if this is against SDA rules, but the Wii, PSX, PS2, XBox and SS have been... altered.

As long as it doesn't have a noticable effect on the gameplay it shouldn't matter.

VG had the 'Homebrew Channel' on full display during AGDQ. Tongue

Can I assume you're bringing the nesbot?

Alright, I know for sure now that I'll be leaving for a family trip on the Friday evening of the marathon, so a quick question for Essentia: will it be any problem if I leave my equipment at your home until the following Monday (the 8th)?

As long as you're not using cheat devices, it's fine.  Having a modded system for the purposes of playing *ahem* imports (cause nobody plays backups, right? Tongue ) or homebrew is fine.
Everything's better with Magitek

That'd be fine, Zyre.

The University of Utah property requisition store has some interesting pieces, including a professional style video amplifier/switcher for $20, and a PA style audio mixer for $40.  Are these things we need? Also, they have lots of professional video type stuff - it looks like old equipment from a TV station. I wouldn't have a clue how to use it, but someone might be able to make the marathon more professional. Also, it looks like there was some form of video overlay device, perhaps we could do Picture in Picture with that.

Let me know.

I might be interested in that audio mixer even if we don't use it for the marathon, do you have a pic of it?

Unless the overlay can do split-screen (as opposed to one obscuring the other) then it's not something we want or need since we can do it in software.

Bumping this for one last look over. MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR STUFF, THANKS.

There are a few items that don't have any people listed but they're games people are playing so I can only assume those people are bringing them. Don't disappoint me!

Also, just in case, I'll be bringing the following:

1 Wii (for mm9 and mm10 without DLC)
2 wiimotes
2 classic controllers (1 pro)
My webcam
Laptop
4-way distribution amplifier (composite and component)
Some RCA composite cables
Some 1/8" stereo cables
1 360 controller

edit: Also I can bring a ton of AA batteries.  I used to work at a battery store and stocked up like crazy before I left Wink

It appears that no one else has Ninja Gaiden 1? I'll be required to bring this? Also, painter's tape is apparently good for putting labels on, without leaving residue.

So I just noticed we're short a Genesis.
Just to confirm, I'll be bringing for sure (well, me or Opario, he has some of this stuff because he borrowed it Tongue ):

GC w/ GB Player
GB Link Cable
Minish Cap
Dazzle

and maybe my powered splitter, but if we have enough I may not. It turns out the video input is kinda loose, so if it gets bumped the picture will drop and you have to play with it a bit to get it back, so it may not be good to use for this.

Kinda important item to have. It's a bit difficult to race Dynamite Headdy on one Genesis. Tongue

It might not be a bad idea to call Arrow if he doesn't post by tomorrow afternoon. He's flying out on Wednesday and he hasn't responded to this thread at all so I don't know what he's bringing.

I could try digging out my Genesis and mailing it, since I already have the address.  I worry about it getting there in time, since it's already the 2nd.  I mean, overnight could be done, but it's pricey.  I'd say ask Arrow first before resorting to this.

(Especially since I'll be really incoherent Today [2nd] from having surgery.)

Can somebody volunteer to call Arrow if he hasn't posted by, say, 4pm eastern tomorrow? I'd do it but tomorrow has a stuffed full schedule as is.
Now a hit show on the CW
Hi. I'll be bringing all of the games I'm running (Dynamite Headdy, Super Mario Bros., Mario vs DK, DK94, We Love Katamari, and TJ&E2), controllers for all of the consoles, and my Genesis, if it's necessary. I hope there's someone at least bringing another Genesis controller, because mine acts up occasionally.
Not a walrus
Unless somebody else volunteers by tomorrow, we'll need you to bring your Genesis. Unless you want to cancel the race!
RPG TASer
I've got 3 genesis in my apartment (genesi?). I don't mind bringing one.
Fucking Weeaboo
Sounds like you're covered with that, so I won't worry.  Smiley
I believe the plural for Genesis would be Geneses (like with parenthesis/ses.)

I will be bringing my own display (as I've become quite sensitive to a lagless display and I don't know what will be there. Plus, it's quite portable.) I'll also try to bring my condenser mic in case we want a microphone with a that can pick up one person really well over the crowd (like for announcing donations.)

that Metroidvania guy
Good thing we have the Genesis covered, because I don't have one. :p

I'm bringing:

-XBox 360 + hard drive (I know we have enough, but I have stuff we need for Castle Crashers so it's easier to use mine)
-A few 360 controllers (mainly for CC, just in case)
-Possibly my laptop
-My keyboard + mouse
-SNES controller (not in the greatest shape and I only have one... JMan needs another one for KSS)
-Lifetime supply of Febreze (jk)

I do not have AA batteries for those controllers so good thing duckfist is a battery fiend. :p

I am assuming we have enough capture devices/cables/etc. but if I'm wrong let me know today and I'll bring some of my stuff. I also assume we will be sufficient on computers/laptops for chat/donation tracking/etc. needs but I'll double check with some people today to make sure on that before deciding not to pack my laptop.

Oh, and games I'm covering, though this should be obvious:

Castlevania: SotN (XBLA disc version, maybe you didn't know this existed! ;o )
Castle Crashers (on hard drive)
Kirby Super Star

I'll just use my steam account on Tranq's computer for Portal.
Quits halfway
Just a quick post to make sure I'm not forgetting something super obvious:

DSi and 3DS + chargers
Sound cord
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (2) and Portrait of Ruin
Flash Drive for CVHD save
GBA SP + Tape
Camcorder + Charger + S-video cable
Tripod + Tripod bag (!!)
360 Controller
Clothes and stuff

I can bring other cables and/or my HDMI splitter if need be. Please let me know if I forgot something >_>
difficult and stupidly random
People should bring RF Modulators.  That's what lets you connect RCA type inputs to a TV with only a co-ax hookup.
At AGDQ there were a bunch of CRTs that were nearly useless for this reason.
Professional Second Banana
I'll bring my PSP and copies of BBS (in case Essentia and UltraJMan are up for rumbling) and KH2 since they're small, but I probably won't have room to bring my PS2 since my unmodded one is the fat model (if there aren't any PS2's available when I want to practice, I can just emulate it on my laptop).  I could also bring Blaster Master and Startropics if we want to have backup carts, though if UA/DW think they'll be fine I'd rather not risk them getting damaged in transit.
