Sleeping Terror

I'm watching the full playthrough... but the stats between Meteo and Katina don't match up. I'm guessing that he just messed up and died to restart the level, because he has one less life and the weakest laser. Still, having a somewhat unobviously edited video is annoying.

I haven't watched futher yet, so other levels may also not match up.

Well sometimes he starts over after the checkpoint in the level b/c it's pretty damn hard to be so consistent at getting a very high score. I'd rather watch that then watch a 2 hour video where he messes up

Maybe we'll see a 2400+ hits video in the near future because he has SF64(NTSC) now where you'll be able to break the 511 hits limit in Area 6.

Yeah, I realized that after watching more of it. He also gets two gold rings to set up for the expanded life bar. And sometimes loses more than one life; apparently from bad tries. I wish there were some sort of explanation, 'cause while all this stuff may be obvious to SF64 experts, it wasn't to me.

Heh, shooting untargetted charge shots gives extra points? No wonder I couldn't touch those records.

I shall officially stop bashing those famous high-score charts. >_>

Segmented, huh?

I got up to 2200 something, I think. I sent in my video of my score chart on SF 64 to CyberScore when it was still up with all the scores. But I did it in one run...I am sure if I segmented and redid parts...I could get as high as this guy...

Charged Un-locked shots is all about timing and knowing where stuff will appear. It's like shooting where things will be rather than waiting, unless this guy did another way. Most people stay high or low (low mostly) and hold like DOWN so they don't target stuff...or keep firing non-stop charged shots to prevent lock ons...and yeah...

I just fire before the charge animation finishes...you don't lock on.

Holding both R and Z simultaneously prevents the lock-on too.

I like this site name cause it's easy to remember.

I don't think it's "segmented" as such, it's probably just the case that all the times he played the level and lost a life (on purpose? by accident?) were edited out. It's not like he restarts the game each time and does it 100 times separately or anything.

Well when I do it and miss a big combo or something at the beginning of a level I always restart if I'm going for a highscore since extra lives are very easy to get.
