Also less segments the better. Practice your driving skills, it's things like smashing into another car which not only makes the runner look stupid but also loses a lot of time.
Not to mention, that I have found that loading screens practically disappear in the PC version, because it loads a lot faster, so time can be saved there.

that means one of two things: either the PC version will end up in a seperate category, or loading times have to be removed from both runs before comparing them.
until now PC runs had their loading times removed, because they can differ depending on your hardware. A faster computer shouldn't give any time advantages. And I'd rather see a run with good playing than a run with fast loading
due to the differences in (auto-)aiming my guess is on seperate categories, but of course Radix has the final word on that matter.
I think that GTA's aren't so good.. I watched (I'm not sure if it was GTA3) one run and it was 80% driving :P.. but oh well, that's my opinion..
If you based your opinion on a speedrun of the game, then I can definately understand why you wouldn't appreciate the series. The "hook" of the GTA series is the illusion of freedom, which is based on the ability to go where you please and do all sorts of different things, without overly punishing the player for not participating in the main storyline. While speedruns of many games (particularly first-person shooters) essentially automate the display of the game's entire content, a speedrun of a GTA game highlights only a small percentage of the total experience.
No. I've played them all. I just cant get it.. they're kinda alright games but... oh well, I just dont get it.. It IS fun to search the map around, but GTA games tend to have a shitload of glitches and stuff, which I dont like. One of my friends plays it like maniac.. Too bad he sucks at english (as I wouldn't) and can't understad a word of it...
i remember watching the first ps2 speedrun of gta 3 and noticed it was missing things that are in the PC version like fences and boxes etc .. so where the PS2 guy just drives along the PC player in the same routes has to crash through a fence .. so at least in that case they are quite different in gameplay.
those kind of reasons mean they are different categories .. but you should aim for a pretty similar time for a version that already exists
