Gasp!

No, but seriously I cannot seem to find any resources or runs of this game. For snes this game has been at GDQs, and I can find archived runs everywhere. For Genesis, which in case you don't know is a completely different game with different mechanics, there is only a small group of TAS any%, and  Speed Runs Live has two races under easy- (beat stage 3) and that is it. I have been practicing setups and tricks to try to prep myself for real actual timed runs, so right now my best time for 100% or Gold/true ending% is about 40min, keeping in mind I did certain screens multiple times from accidental or intentional game overs and practicing getting certain swords quickly. Since I can't find any resources, If I can get a run under 30 min I would feel confident enough to post a recording to set a base world record, but I am hoping there already is a world record that I just haven't found so I can push myself for a better time. If anyone is interested in helping me create a run for this game I have strategies and tips for getting started that I have taken from watching the TAS runs (for 100% or Any%). For starters if you are interested in doing any% you can to put the game on easy to skip some screens entirely, but this will make 100% impossible. One of the reasons I am so interested in running this game, specifically 100% is because in order to get 100% you have to watch the opening skipable cut-scene and fight the boss that jumps out in the middle of it or you will miss "Stage 4's" collectible. This gimmick has always been part of the nostalgia for me for this game.
Thread title:
Willing to teach you the impossible
Best advice I can give in this situation is to dont wait till you hit your goal time to share a video here. Allowing other people to see what you are doing with some context text along with it will allow others to give input and most of the time help in one way or another. Some of the comments may be harsh, but we are all here to see THE GAME get represented properly (most new runners take it as an attack on them). Make a video right now, mistakes and deaths and all just to show general ideas, strats, stage routes and that kind of stuff. It does not matter if it is 3 hours long or the holy grail run, the community is your greatest tool in making a great speedrun.

Also, I think the thread title has a typo (edit original post to fix that)
Ahh, yeah I made this post at like 2 am I missed the typo, thanks for the heads up.

Yeah I saw there were some strict rules for publishing a run as a world record run, so I didn't want to clutter up threads with videos or recordings that didn't meet that criteria. But for just knowledge base, yeah I can try to have something up by the end of the week, and then what just post a link to it here?
Willing to teach you the impossible
Yes you can post your progression/demonstration videos here. The threads are for learning, planning, demonstrations, boasting (if you did something cool) but the main site is where SDA is picky about what gets published. Have no fear, SDA mods are here to prevent anything stupid from cluttering the forums. But the community normally directs confused newcomers in the right direction.
