At this point I'm feeling there is gonna be a way to skip a whole quest somehow. This game get's more broken everytime I check this thread.

I managed to stun craig twice before we fought at the end of the game, then the game kinda freaked out and sound was messed up as well as craig saying his opening line twice in the battle.

This one is by far the hardest trick to get consistently, but will save alot of time (5-10 seconds) if you can.

This involves farting on a specific position by philips, and making sure your not too close to him when you open your inventory. It is hard to explain where to stand.. so the video will best show that.

What you have to do is stand in that spot, do a dragon shout and open your inventory immediately. If you do it correctly, you will get a interaction icon in the center of your screen when you leave your inventory. This will let you talk to phillips and skip the silly text about them arguing whether or not you are the "american".

The other two skips are relatively easy to get: Simply talk to philips a little after he begins his dialog to skip the dialog. Combining all this you should save over 20 seconds getting this skip correctly.

That's cool, looks like there's a lot of things you can do with the menus in south park. Wonder if you can walk through obstacles with it.

Be fun to get a big race going like the one day with 13 runners. It would also be awesome if we could set up a weekly race or something, so people would always know when to be ready for it.

SO I think the plan is to have a race this Friday around 9 EST, so if you want to race keep that time open, and if anyone wants to race before then Im down most nights.

Ahoy there fellas!

I'm thinking of picking this speedrun up in the near future, but I'm stuck with the Australian version. What's the process here, can we work out a time conversion so I can play on the same category? Or can I use a patch to put me on the same version and still be considered 'legit'? I probably won't be as interested in running if I'm banished to a lonely australian% category, haha.

Without any knowledge of good routes or anything, and never had speedrun a game in my life I managed to do this one in just 3:01:xx. I have beaten the game with all 4, and in my opinion the mage is the way to go. I wasnt doing anything special to get that 3 hours either, just playing.

Well the leader boards that was posted on page 9 has a separate category for the censored version(one person has run it so far) so I would assume you could just run it with the censored version or you can find/install the uncensored patch and then be able to speed-run the uncensored version which is what most of us are doing at the moment.

@Potato Handle Like redemption said you can just run censored but as of right now theres only one guy running that version, tho Im sure he would like some competition. That being said if you can find a way to make it uncensored without changing the game mechanics or making it unlegit in anyway then you could run that, IMO its fine.

@Mr1Guy Nice, glad to see more picking this game up, the leaderboards are here http://southparkleaderboards.wordpress.com/ if you want to submit any runs now or in the future. Do you stream your runs? I try to follow everyone running the game.

No, I'm unable to stream or record my runs, I will have to look into it though because it seems interesting enough

races are any%, so any class fits in. You're just trying to beat the game asap and nobody cares how you achieve that. Limiting it to mage can also get boring if nobody new shows up.

I'm the man.......nothing else needs to be said

So after about a week hiatus from this game I am getting back into it. I am going to spend most of tomorrow day learning the new route and strats and I should have them learned by 9. Either way I am down to race tomorrow

Summons% - Get all summons as fast as possible, I also put you must use them all once, but that rule is kinda up in the air tho I feel it is fitting. I made this one so there was a short category to run if you didnt feel like play for 1:20+, tho I dont know how long it will take yet.

Also theres a guy that started running on hardcore (for Quest%), I decided to create separate pages for the different difficulties.

As always any suggestion for improvements are welcome and if you come up with a different category run it once and submit it as "New" and describe the rules in the extra info section of the Record Submission page.

I would like to join the race as well but I will not be home until around 9:35 EST. I doubt you guys be wanting to delay the race an hour but if anyone wants to do a 2nd race afterwards I would love to join that.

Also, don't know if anyone's mentioned this before, but this seems like a great game to do bingo races on(if anyone ever wants to). You could have things on the bingo card like: Get X summon, Get X weapon, Beat X sidequest, Beat X boss, Buy X face from stan's mom...etc

1. Craig heal Skip for the 2nd time, still dont kow what caused it but it seems more recreatable since I did it again.

Out of curiosity what does your Build_version.txt say?

The only other things I can think of that may cause that is getting a perfect Jimmy cutscene skip ... or having the one elf do talking while you open the window. This skip is still magical.

Number 2: lol.. looks like DB clicks didn't register for some reason?

I'm getting really close to getting a WR. My start route seems to be 30 seconds faster than the current WR run + I've gotten better starts since I started to reload after leaving the tent for the first time. Reloading the game after the tent gives me 5 seconds less of load screens.

The Fire damage did not register, he doesn't catch on fire, doesn't take the extra damage on his turn and the second attack doesn't do more damage like it should with the fire perk. would of been sub 45 mins too, oh well such is my luck.
