Without watching the run, 13:24 is very good. The WR is 13:03 iirc by TeeNTee314. Sub 13 is definitely possible but then Sonic 1 isn't called "unrunnable" without a reason. If you're looking for strats you should look at IL's posted by TeeNTee and others from TSC and join #sonic or #sega on SRL. Naegleria made a decent tutorial on the game too that's on his twitch if you want to check that out.
Also you probably already know this but if you're serious about running it for SDA you should move over to console instead of using an emulator. It'd also give you more credibility if you at least streamed your attempts, I've never heard of you before and a "newbie" getting 13:24 on emu without having prooved his skill arouses suspicions about savestates and what not.
EDIT: I watched it and it and you have some interesting strats. How exactly did you record it?
I just added up your times and your time is actually 13:41 (including a 6 second death in SB1). Just FYI.
Just watching it though, I'm kind of surprised it's that low. Your executions of the zips are all really clean, but some of the levels look quite improvable still, see Labyrinth 3 ascent as a particular example.
Tee-N-Tee's run is here: Pay close attention to the new Spring Yard 3 strat in particular (skip to around 7:30). I don't entirely know how to get those jumps to make you go downwards but if you play around with the position enough you should be able to make it work.
Keep it up! Considering you put up a 14:xx on the 12th of May you're improving pretty quickly!
For this run I had about 60 attempts while recording and this one was the bestt one because I did zips on the first try. About recording on console , I have a mega drive with this game but with that eu solw down and my broken controlers I can beat this game in 27 min ( PB ) and i dont have anything with to record but this run i recorted using gens emulator and fraps . Speking about the run thnks to mike89 for seeing that i have actualy 13:41 because i write down my level times and tried to put them together and i got 13:24 maybe i just suck at math :). One more thing i watched tee-n-tees run and naeglerias tutorial.
So yea there are some weird things with this run. For example you do some hard jumps for no reason like in GH3 and MZ1 that don't really save any time but increases the risk of loosing the run.
You got the marble zips perfectly, then kind of jumped around aimlessly for the boss, so practise the whole game and not just the hard stuff.
In SY2, you can bounce up on the first bumper by jumping into the left wall to hit the spring and then not hold anything. There's also a zip in SY3 that saves idk like 20 seconds if you do it perfectly and it's not really harder than any of the other tricks, so you probably want to do that. Never seen the jump to the boss in SY3 though, did you come up with that yourself?
There's also the zip in SB3 and considering it's one of the easiest ones there's no real reason not to do it.
The final boss fight was... interesting. You did the pause strat, guessed right when he went into the middle 3 out of 3 times and then took unnecessary risks by running around like a jackass. Maybe Trihex is your inspiration but really if you get a good run and jump into one of the orbs you're gonna hate yourself.
I personally just add all the seconds together (a), guess how many minutes it is (b) and then make a new guess until a-b*60 < 60, add the minutes and you have the total game time.
I like doing risky runs and today I find out new strat for GH 2 where now I allways ( if I don't mess up ) get 19 and two times I got 18 I will show that in next run ( I hope I will upload it next week ). Oh and I found SL 3 zip its simular to SL 2
Personally considering the games source code is pretty much open to the public, the rich history of TASing this game and all the people who have tried to speedrun this before I doubt you're going to find something new that's useful. By all means try, it's be cool if you actually did, but don't get your hopes up.

I think thought patterns like this are very very detrimental to the progress of games. See NES Donkey Kong TAS for a perfect example of how it just takes one person trying out stuff over and over again that someone else didn't have the perspective to try to make a huge improvement.
Well TASers show a lot of glitches to beat game as fast as possible and runners ( like me or anyone else ) use these gltches to improve the run and like I said I am still trying to find new tricks

Well call me a skeptic but I don't think someone that looks around for level wraps semi-randomly is going to beat the joint effort of upwards hundreds of people, some of which knows the game on a very intimate level.
I didn't mean to discurage from looking at all though, but having an open discussion about what you think might work is probably better than looking for yourself.
Then of course there's a distinction between finding level wraps and just general faster strats, like the jump srakso99 did in SY3 right before the boss, never seen that before.
As someone who doesn't know much about sonic 1, it makes sense that you would be using save-states.
Add in the fact that you had a lot of near-death swag (serious runners would never do that), and you decided to respond by saying "I like doing risky runs" near the end of "WR runs" (no one serious about runs would do that), that you created an account just a month ago without having posted anything but this topic, and coming out of nowhere with these videos, I have to say this is very suspicious.
You also don't stream, which you should be able to as long as you have internet, since according to timpz you're playing on emulator. Not necessarily damaging, but it certainly doesn't help.
Well I use savestates when I am dooing atempts for IL speedruns and when I am doing sonic 1 with zips or no zips I use sonic mega collection plus and I allways have many attempts with recording and I save the best run. For those close death moments possible luck I don't know . And for strems I really want to stream my attempts in srl ,but my pc can't pull live streams it bearly can pull my recording with good framerate. And I am doing my runs for people to give their thougts and opinions about the run and maybe some tips.

Is that a confession of cheating or what do you mean more specifically?
Disregarding your age, 6 years of running a game is a very long time for doing the jumps in Labyrinth wrong, even after getting told they're bad, in a run where you do a trick that not only is hard to execute, but requires a lot of luck to get at all because of the tight pixel alignment. Also apparently you commented on naeglerias YT sonic tutorial about a month ago or so and said you found it helpful, so I doubt you've actually been running this for years.
Then not to mention a whole lot of other bullshit things you get like jumping through the falling spike thing in M1 first go, going over the bouncer in the beginning of SY2 without doing the actual consistent method and running into the wall in SB2. Then also being very bad at things that don't really make any sense like SY3 where you miss I think 2 cycles for no apparent reason (just to get a somewhat tricky jump like it was nothing) and going backwards to hit the starpost as if you'd need it in L3. Etc etc etc
What I'm saying is that this run just screams of savestates in every single way. Something I was suspicious of before but couldn't proove as you seemed to have just picked the game up.
