Outside of your speed-running, of course!

Nothing great came out recently, so I decided to pick me up some older games that I missed out on but always wanted to play.
Viewtiful Joe 2[GCN]- Now, here are a coupla games that people should speed run!

MGS: Twin Snakes[GCN]- I just had to get the re-make once I played through Snake Eater, and I must say, this game is boring as hell. I certainly don't remember it being this boring when I played back on the PS1.

Alien Hominid[ps2]- They didn't have Metal Slug 4-5, so I got this instead. Frenzied, hard-as-nails action. I love it!

Psychonauts[xbox]- Ahh, where have all the platformers gone? Everything seems to be some form of a shooter, even this game. Oh well, still cool in that artsy kind of way.

Oh yeah, and GTA: SA on the XBOX. I guess that's the only new one I've gotten lately.

I'm actually playing too many different games right now, and Ninja Gaiden[xbox], Stranger's Wrath[xbox], Amplitude/Frequency[ps2], Ikaruga[GCN]and Eternal Darkness[GCN] are always in the mix, no matter what new games I've gotten. I remember back in the day, I used to play one game until it was completely destroyed. Now, I don't get halfway through a game before I start up another one. That'll change soon as I prepare to try out some speed runs. Grin

Some of them are already done, did'nt you know?
Talking about MGS Twin Snaks and GTA SA.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Devil May Cry 3 (PS2) - It's so undescribably awesome.
Halo 2 (XBOX) - Because everyone else is.
Timesplitters 2 and LoZ:OoT.  I've had the Zelda promo disc for a while so I started playing with it.  I never actually had Ocarina of Time, since I had a playstation last generation, so im catching up with everyone else  Smiley

That it is, that it is. It's too bad that people are all giddy over God of War. After playing DMC3 a couple of times, I put int at #2 on my current generation action games, Ninja Gaiden being #1. God of War is at #3.

God of War lacks something. I know, it's variety in fighting! Sure, all the games are pretty much slash-slash-slash-block-counter-slash, but NG and DMC3 have multiple weapons. Yes, GoW has the Artemis Blade or whatever it's called, but that weapon is hardly effective in the whole scheme of things. I'd put Ninja Gaidens fighting a slight step above DMC3, but only because it fits me better than having to do juggling combos. Switching weapons on the fly is a major plus, though. Too bad you can switch between all of the avaliable weapons in DMC3, instead of two at a time.
Yoshi's eggs are at my mercy!
Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island [on my GC with a Game Boy Player] Ohh..opps, non-speed running...

Uhh...

1) DDR Extreme [ps2] - Yeah, I got the pad plus game bundle about 2 weeks ago. I'm slowly escaping "Standard" and am getting D's on "Heavy." ^_^

2) Lumines [psp] - Yeah, my friend got a high score of 350,000; so I gotta out do him! (Mine being like 210,000).

3) Smash Bros. Meelee [gc] - I procrastinated unclocking everything for a long time, just 4 days ago I finnally unlocked Roy and Mr. Game & Watch, so I finnaly have everything. ^^;

That's prety damn good for only having the game for a couple of weeks! I have DDRMAX 1 and 2, and I've only been able to beat a few songs on Heavy mode. The guys at the arcade make it look so much easier than what I can do, but then I have the pads that slide when you get a little crazy. I bet if I went to an arcade, I might be able to hold my own on a few songs. I use the game mainly as an exercise tool these days, if anything. When I play the game for fun, it is usually just to listen to the songs, so I use the D-pad instead of the floor mat.

>>; Well I might've exagerated a bit, I can get a C on ONE heavy song, everything else is E's....or failure. >>;

I went to the arcade once after having my pad, at the time I was "light" and I made a whole bunch of misatkes. I was dressed in nice, expensive, heavy clothing. Had just eaten all the Chinese I could handle; so those factors were against me. >_>; But next time, I'm totally looking forward to the mall. Cheesy

...All this DDR talk makes me wanna think of some sort of speed run thing for DDR. xD
