Basically, if you, for example, create a warrior deck, you can put, for example, a voidwalker into the warrior deck, by closing the deck creation screen, then opening your deck while over the warlock deck section and very quickly clicking and holding on the voidwalker. You will now be holding the voidwalker while in the deck creation screen. You can now place it into your deck.

Unfortunately, if you try to play a game using this deck, it gives you the message "Oops: Playful sprites blah blah blah" and crashes. When you reopen the game and try to play another game using the deck, it will be crossed out as if it did not contain 30 cards.

This glitch does not work to place more than 2 cards of the same type in a deck, 2 cards of a type you only have 1 of into a deck, or 2 legendaries of the same type into the same deck (I don't actually have 2 legendaries of the same type, so I cannot really test that, but meh).

It seems to be hardest to do (if possible) with druid cards, for some reason probably relating to the druid tab being the leftmost tab.

I do not think that changing tab during transition is possible, but I cannot be sure.

Wasn't sure what forum to put this in, but oh well.

In reply to LotBlind:

I don't intend to run hearthstone, I just wanted to document a cool bug I found in it.

The deck doesn't work in single-player or multiplayer. I think hearthstone requires an internet connection even to play singleplayer.

_____

An update on the bug: It no longer closes and says "Playful sprites have disrupted blah blah blah", but instead says that "there was an error starting your game blah blah blah" and doesn't close.

I wonder if my computer automatically gave out an error report and blizzard changed something to stop the game from closing under this situation. Or I don't know, maybe not. But the bug still works.
Thread title:
Hearthstone single player adventures could probably be run for speed like this:
- build the best decks you can with currently available cards
- defeat (again) all the bosses in the adventure back to back (and in order, so it makes sense)
- I don't see a problem with doing an individual fights table either
- later on, someone can probably make even better decks but that's the nature of the beast

Still I'd sure watch these... You just have to accept there might be a few nerfs here and there and might have to allow obsoletions that are actually slower in case the old run uses a patched glitch or some such thing.

Zergreenone: Did you try using the deck in single-player as well as multiplayer? Probably doesn't make a difference. In either case if someone wants to run the game, please start a new thread (or ask to move and rename this one) under PC games.

HELLO!
Note that the single player adventures are going to start getting rotated out annually, though.

There are actually already some runs for hearthstone single player adventures on speedrun.com. As far as I can tell, the old single player adventures are only going to be made unavailable for purchase, and they will still be playable if you have already purchased them, but this will still create an undesirable barrier to speed-running hearthstone. Although I don't think speedrun.com in particular will care.
I wonder how SDA will react to the unreproducibility then :/ It's kinda already very much a reality for any Steam game that got patched so... with the exception that Hearthstone and other always-online (?) games you'll simply not be able to depatch ever. Still, I think you could do the adventures even if you can't get perfect competitive fairness - people will wanna see that anyway.
