Running and Watching GDQs since 2012
Any chance someone can link to a site where the community for speed running these games are? I've been meaning to learn, but I haven't really dug up anything that would help me learn.

I've been wanting to speed run these since I saw them back in AGDQ 2013 when Kubelwagon ran them, and at last years AGDQ when Dime VS. Vortale happened for Doom 2.
Thread title:
The doom speedrunning community is large, ancient, and still alive after all these years.  I highly recommend using the channel #doom on irc.speedrunslive.com for quick discussion and general info (there's a link in the topic there for general tidbits as well).  Records and demos are maintained at the extensive database http://doomedsda.us/, which includes not only the "main" games doom and doom 2, but also any mapset someone is willing to run.  Demo submission and various discussions also take place at http://www.doomworld.com/vb/doom-speed-demos/, which has some general info in it as well.  When it comes to beginner queries though, I think you will get quicker help from the irc I previously mentioned.  If you are looking for feedback or more detailed discussions, the forum is good.

Have fun!
