How fast can you pillage? Here's a game that takes a LONG time to play. I'm trying to find the best way to get to the highest rank at the end of the game: on easy difficulty.
Thoughts:
Work for France, Eng, Dutch attacking the Spanish. Plundering big towns with a huge crue is probibly the best way to go. This gets you the most land and promotions, and it allows your huge crue to do the work. Avoild land battles, those take forever. Getting your relatives and hunting down all those bad dudes and lost cities takes the longest. I will avoild doing as many of those quests as possible. Romancing Chicks is probilby a waste of time other than the 10 marriage points. Take out ships as fast as possible, obviously.

I've done it in about 5 hours b4. See if I can improve that and get it on tape..
