Should I Speedrun Mario Kart DS?

SPEED IS KEY TO SPEEDRUNNING.

I have been playing Mario Kart DS for the past 2 years, and I'm so good at it, I can get first place multiple times in a row with Hard CPU on 150cc or Mirror Mode. Also, on time trials, I have most of my records beating the fast dev's records. A year or so ago, I saw a video on YouTube that had AGDQ speed running Minecraft, all achievements. I thought to myself, Hey, I could be there! I wonder what game I should do?, and I chose Mario Kart DS a bit later! All I would need would be a bunch of time, (My Winter Break would be all the time I would really need,) somehow to submit my speed run and game, and the recording equipment!

Please leave comments below on what you think. Should I speedrun Mario Kart DS?
Also, I'll be using a Nintendo DSI, and the American version of MKDS with everything unlocked. thumbsup

Mario Kart speedruns tend to look pretty impressive, I'd say go for it. Also, seeing as it's part of a popular series, there's probably already info available on running it.

Ok. I might do it, I've asked most of my friends on their opinions, they said positive things about it. I need to find out how I can get the equipment to record and how to sign up. If I do go, it would be sometime in summer.

I might even do a donation poll for the Character/Kart Combonation. The few selections might be:
Dry Bones/Banisher
Toad/Rob-LGS
Rob/Rob-BLS
Luigi/Cucumber

If you don't have a capture device, this is one way to go. It works only for DS and GBA games. There's a 3DS capture device too, but it's much more expensive and loopy isn't doing them right now anyways. I have this device on my DS Phat and it's fantastic.

Also, just throwing out there that I have seen people run this on the Wii U through the virtual console. I imagine that's easier to get capture equipment for than DS capture stuff. However, if you plan on using a DS, then I would suggest what Sir VG stated.
