SGDQ 2015: ATTENTION RESTREAMERS (DUE: 7/1)

It's that time again! Cutoff is July 1st. If you're looking to be a restreamer, even if you've done so in the past, please provide the following:

1. What language you're translating to.
2. Twitch channel
3. URL to your restream website if one exists
4. If you do not have my Skype already, send me a PM to exchange information.
5. A public email address where potential volunteers can contact you, if you are looking for volunteers.
6. Please translate the following lines to assist our advertising of your stream:

"Speak [language]? Check out [Your Restream Group]'s restream at twitch.tv/[yourchannel]"
"Thank you to our [Restream Group] restreamers for their hard work translating SGDQ 2015!"

Things we look for to be considered an official GDQ restreamer:

1. Round-the-clock staffing. Restreams are most effective if they're on 24/7.
2. Enough staff to keep from getting burned out. No one wants to watch a stream with one guy doing a 60 hour powerstream.
3. Organization and some professionalism, particularly with regards to talking about donations and the charity.
4. A stable internet connection. Quality is nice but focus on stability. We will be providing a low-latency relay server. Depending on software, we will provide either a single 3500kbps relay (equivalent to Twitch source quality), or multiple qualities from 1500kbps 480p to 5000kbps 720p.

Having a website is beneficial, especially if you are able to provide translated instructions on how to donate. It's not required, but if you have it, we really appreciate it. Make sure your Twitch channel information has links to our site, the tracker, the schedule, the charity and of course, the donate page.

Finally: only those who complete this process will be considered official restreams. You will be allowed to use our logo and will be whitelisted on Twitch.

Additional info:

We almost have enough commentators to cover the entire event (missing 1-2).
We have enough tech guys to keep our stuff running all the time.
We have a venue where the event of restreaming will be hold live.
We will have trailer for russian peeps who don't know what's it's all about (almost ready).
Some other stuff that I may be forgetting but will write about in certain thread (where photos of the venue are atm)

Regarding the expectations below:

1. We will restream SGDQ 24/7 with all Bonus Contents included.
2. We count over 40 Member to choose from and are still growing. So no worríes on this side.
3. We contacted many german runners to offer their knowledge about their runs live on stream, we research all games we dont yet know enough about and of course we are aiming to support through gathering donations on our side as well! So no worries about prefessionalism we keep track of any changes and are planning ahead.
4. We work with an external Server which is garuanteed to be online 24/7 with a connection speed i dont even need to mention (its fast!) At our last Events we were restreaming the original stream by adding the video source directly to obs which garuanteed the same "kind of" delay our commentators have while watching on their own computers so the commentary is pretty much synchronized with the actual footage. We tried to ask Twitch for quality options but didnt get a positive answer. So we just have to rely on quality options by stacking viewers. If not we have the right quality options in broadcasting to offer the best quality available without causing loading circles for our viewers. (Like @ our RPG Limit Break Restream)

We will announce the restream on our homepage and offer instructions on donating and supporting.
All links will be connected shortly before the event. Same goes for Moobot commands regarding the original stream.

To tell something about us:

We were asked to let you guys know that we aim to restream SGDQ this year for our german viewers.

So far we managed to collect commentary on over 70% of the Games and are optimistic that everything goes well (if not too many changes appear the day before the event).
We didnt get the official "OK" yet, that we will be the official german restream again.

1. We have conducted two events this year: the spanish restream of AGDQ 2015 and the first marathon of the "Speedruns Español" community. In both we were able to keep a stable server up to 26 hours interrupted, so we’re very confident that we have an Internet connection and a server machine that’s up to the task for SGDQ.

2. We have a group of 40 people, which include server monitors, commentators, chat moderators, community managers, and people to look for information on runners and games. We also have volunteer musicians and designers on the team.

3. We have spent two months preparing for SGDQ, just as we did for the previous event, so we don’t leave anything to chance. This includes interviewing each one of the members on the team, explaining them what the event is all about and the tone, attitude and responsibility necessary to work as a team on this event. During the previous restream of AGDQ, we constantly mentioned that GDQ is above all a charity event and also provided the audience with the web link to the donation page. We have to say that we are not considering the translation of all donations mentioned in the English broadcast, although we are going to announce the donation milestones, especially when major goals are met in the total amount donated. As a suggestion, we would like to ask if there’s a way to see the donations made by Spanish speakers separately, so we can actually read each one of them on the restream.

4. During the January restream we kept our stream online during the whole week without major problems. However, we believe that it might be a good idea to try out the servers with the broadcasting communities before the event begins to fix any issues beforehand.

Once again we'll be doing this on Gaming Live (jeuxvideo.com's web TV) for which I work and stream and manage people. Once again we'll thrive to have thousands of active viewers and donators, and should be able to donate a 4-figure number by ourselves. Restream will be operated in our office in Paris with a 500/500mbps connection, and on TeamSpeak and/or Mumble with 60+ commentators. I will be directing operations along with known figures who have helped immensely in the past.
