Crawlathon WR, get down on my level.
Just like AGDQ2015, this thread is for any SGDQ2015 runner to specify any special requirements they need for their run. For those unfamiliar with this, these are the types of things we're looking out for:

I need a special console.

Special consoles are defined as:

PAL (please specify why)
Rare (Not one of the following: NES, SNES, Gameboy / GBA, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, Sega Genesis, PS1/PS2, PS3, 360)
Supergun/Arcade
Modded (please specify why)
Region-locking Issue

I am a PC runner with unusual requirements.

Unusual is defined as:

You need special drivers or hardware (please specify) [Motion in Joy will NOT be allowed, alternative PS3 drivers available]
Your game cannot be copied via USB or installed via Steam (please describe)
Your PC commonly has electronic cooties and would probably infect our machines if you brought the game on USB.
Your game has known problems running on Windows 8.1 and needs workarounds (provide details if available). Note: Windows 8.1 has better compatibility than 8.0 or Win7.
Your game cannot run in windowed mode OR at 1080p/720p.
Your game requires a special network setup of any kind beyond regular internet access.
Your game requires administrative privileges to run (VERY RARE).

I want to do something special with my run

Such as:

Developer commentary
Gimmicky music/sounds/graphics on stream, etc. (We will not accept all requests, you need to sell us on it really hard)
Special commentary setups (a la Super Metroid at AGDQ2014)
I am doing blindfolded/other trick category that would benefit from technical assistance.

I am PJ and for some reason they keep letting me back into the marathon

Do whatever satanic ritual it takes to keep your demons at bay, thanks.

These are things that are NOT acceptable special requirements

I need a laggy TV because I use a laggy setup at home. (Go get a CRT for free on Craigslist, we cannot possibly hope to match the same lag you have at home, and the delay in setup is not fair to other runners)
I can't bring my game. (Go buy it or arrange someone to bring it for you. If you don't have it at the time of your run, your game is cut)
I can't bring my controller. (Bring it or arrange someone else to, as above. Every runner has a controller they prefer. We will not likely have any controllers you will want to use on hand.)
I need a bigger TV than provided. (Sit closer)
I need a smaller TV than provided. (Sit further away)
Wearing a shirt interferes with my swagger. (I agree, but you'll live)

------------------------------------

Please note: We make this thread so we can help runners and ensure a smooth, awesome event. The more we know, the better prepared we can be. That said, we cannot accommodate every situation.

So, be aware that you may need to make some sacrifices for your marathon run. If all of your best times were when you were drunk, you might want to start practicing that sober%.

Good morning!
For the Stretch Panic run, CavemanDCJ and I are going to play on the Japanese version, Hippa Linda. There's no text to read, it's just a better watch, and it's faster.

It's a PS2 game, so it requires either a Japanese PS2 or a modded one. I have a PS2 slim (with blocked sensors) that I can bring, along with a swap magic disc to boot the game with. Let me know if this is OK with ya'll.

For Gunstar Heroes, I've been playing on Wii VC. I can bring my Wii, too, if that's cool.
Stand: Devil's Call in your Heart
so, i take that, as long as i bring my game, controller and memory card, that's all that i need to do the run, right?
For Shovel Knight the developers agreed to do commentary.
For Hello Kitty: Roller Rescue, I need to use a Xbox that is region free so I can run the Chinese version (I plan to bring my own console).
Spica Adventure is run on PC using ArcadePC Loader as a UI to let me load the game. The game runs at 1024x768 and must be windowed. I'll have all of the files myself on usb drive, game works with any Windows compatible stick natively. The game itself is put in a folder directly on C and the loader program in program files x86 (just being thorough at this point).

Panic Restaurant is run on Famicom cart on an AV Famicom (or modded Famicom if someone has one of those with better video out than mine). I'll have the cart, console, controller and step-down transformer needed for it.

Will there be an opportunity on the day before the marathon begins for me to have the tech crew do a test capture of Doom 64?  It requires very simple adjustments to look fine on stream, at least with AmarecTV, but the last two marathons (especially SGDQ14) it was nearly too dark to watch because the adjustments made in the short setup period didn't really help. If there is some nice and easy way to make it look better, whoever handles that can just make note of it for whoever mans the station during the race.
My run (Dungeon Magic) will be on an arcade board. I'll need a supergun. I would guess the other arcade runners will be bringing some along but I can also provide my own if need be. I'll also have a PS2 console and the PS2 version of the game (Taito Legends 2) if we need to fall back on that.
For Sands of Time, I'll need a 15-20 minute slot where I can calibrate the 360 controller with the joy.cpl file on the PC - it's really finicky but you need to do it or the prince won't be able to run in diagonal directions...
Also, the game is 4:3 only and can run in to FPS issues when using a 16:9 hack (constant 60fps is needed for the main trick in the run) - I presume this isn't really an issue though and you'll just be able to use the layout for 4:3 games?

Let me know,

Silent Hill 2 has a max resolution (without a third party tool) of 1280x1024. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Snow Problem
THAW just needs Joy2Key and dxWnd. I'll do some testing on portable setups and update this post with more in the future.
For Marisa and Alice's Trap Tower I need to play off of a keyboard I'm familiar with. I'll need to either: Play off of my laptop, play off of my home keyboard, or get plenty of practice with the keyboard I'll play off of. My preference is to bring my own keyboard.
I may need to play off of a more "flat" keyboard than the normal kind because that's all I've played off of. I do not believe there are any special drivers with my own keyboard.
Will an audio hookup for headphones be available for console games? Shenmue 2 has faint audio cues needed for skips throughout the run. I can bring my own 1/8inch audio extension cord if needed.

If the Duck Race incentive gets met (and it will very likely be), I have a chat bot that tallies votes from stream chat and displays them in a chroma-keyed application to put next to the race feed. I would run the vote program on my laptop that would output via 720p/1080p HDMI to be shown on-stream (the game feed will also likely be captured via HDMI from my Xbox 360).

Here's a video of what it would look like (this VOD is from a recent online marathon): http://www.twitch.tv/hayaikawaiimarathon/c/6766132?t=2h31m16s

The Wheel of Time has known issues running on Windows 8. The game runs smoothly on Windows 7, and I'd prefer to play on that if at all possible. For Windows 8, the two primary issues are that the character is frozen on startup and that the game is so dark it's unplayable. To fix these I'd need to change the compatibility settings on the games .exe and change the brightness setting within the gfx control panel; these steps should fix the known problems, though I'd prefer not to risk it.

The game also cannot be played in windowed mode, and I play at a resolution of 1600x900 which is vital to the setup of a skip.

I also need game audio for one section of the game early on to hear an audio cue, and dxtory to limit FPS, which I can bring on a USB.

Wii VC is fine, we use it a lot. Definitely bring your Wii so you have the game though.

As for the PS2, definitely bring your equipment. We might have a modded PS2 or so, but you'll want one for practicing if nothing else.

If you don't have anything special, and your console is one of the standards, then yes.

Yes, do that. Regular Xboxes are very rare at the event.

You will need to contact staff at the event to install Spica Adventure, most likely, since without admin you will likely not have access to those folders.

Again, better to bring your Famicom if nothing else than to have it for practice.

We do not use AmarecTV. We should be able to boost the brightness in OBS MP though. We will need to make a special scene for it. Bug one of the staff about this on Saturday to make sure it gets done.

Superguns are ... super delicate and so we can always use more of them.

Let me know,

Is this a global change that affects all 360 controllers, or just SoT? If the former, you will need to have staff do this for you, both for initial calibration and also for the run. We do not want to affect other runners' controllers as well, so it will be CRITICAL that you save the original file.

If the calibration can be done at any time, do so when the PC is not in use. We generally do not schedule these times, as they're not typically in high demand. Runners with games that come earlier than yours will have dibs though, if it's in use.

4:3 is fine.

Framerate is a tenacious issue. Do some testing when you arrive on the streaming PCs, as the capture cards can sometimes force an odd refresh rate of 59.94 instead of true 60.

1280x960 is 4:3, and would be preferred in order to fit our 4:3 layouts. Let me know if this doesn't work for you. Also, does it work in windowed mode?

As long as it doesn't require drivers you can bring whatever mouse/keyboard you want.

Headphones: yes. 99% chance we will be using headsets for our runs (headphone+headset) and you will be able to hear game audio in those much better than the speakers.

No to the Duck Race thing. That's needlessly complicated. What would make a lot more sense is to add the duck options as a donation bidwar on the tracker if the duck race is met. Will run it by Drew for confirmation.

Version of windows is not optional, they are all identical for practice reasons, running Windows 8.1. Changing compatibility settings is perfectly acceptable. PM me and we can go over this in detail.

Audio is no problem.

Well it's generally assumed you bring your own console too IIRC, but I'm sure there'll be plenty of GCs/Wiis you can use for GX so it shouldn't matter for you Tongue (and i'm likely bringing my GC+GBA player and both my wii's)

EDIT: maybe i'm wrong, someone should probably clarify. probably mixing this up with something else.
Regarding SH2, 4:3 would be grand (I'm pretty sure that's what was used during my ESA 2014 run) The game can be run in windowed mode although you need something like DXwin to make it possible (which from prior experience can make the game a tad bit unstable) so if possible, I'd just like to run it fullscreen.
For Metroid Prime Hunters, I run the game on a modded 3DS XL capture card from Katsukity at http://3dsvideocapture.com. It's the system I'm used to running the game on and if at all possible I'd like to run it on that during the event. I'll be there the day before the event starts to try to get everything set up for it, but if I can't do that, then I'm sure you guys have a regular 3DS capture card I could use and that'll still be fine. Only concern I had was that I'm used to playing on a larger screen with an XL, but if that doesn't work, then that's okay. I need to run it on a 3DS though and not a regular DS because the Circle Pad allows for better and more precise movement.
I have already mentioned this elsewhere but i guess this is probably the proper place for it.  Since i am running kirby tilt n tumble on gamecube i am limited by the length of the power and audio/video cables (i need a certain amount of slack on top of the distance to where they plug in).  If I will need to be more than 4 1/2 feet from where the cables will be plugged in I need to know before hand so i can prepare accordingly.

As long as you get with us to install the software, it should be fine. This can be done before the event or during the event if the gaming PC is not in use. I'll have my (non-XL) 3DS capture as a backup, but Zandergoth played ALBW on a Katsukity device last SGDQ and it was OK.

It is not generally assumed that runners bring their own consoles - just the game and any required peripherals. Runners with special console needs (downloaded game, JP console, specific model, etc.), however, should generally plan on bringing their own console. Also, runners are recommended to bring their own console for practice purposes, since we can't always guarantee there will be one available any time they wish to practice.
Keeper of TASBot
I've discussed this with CoolMatty in advance, but just to make sure it's here, for the TASBot block I will be attaching a MacBook Pro running Linux natively, with the only special part being that I either need a standard headphone jack cable available or I need to ensure HDMI audio actually *works* in this situation ahead of time.  As a separate as-of-yet unannounced potential surprise, I may need to have a hastily encoded video played from the tech booth, or alternately from my laptop from the tech booth.  I'll do my best to ensure that any surprises are kept to a minimum and any video that needs to get played is in exactly the video container and codec needed.
Dixie Kong Fan Club
Since DKC3 runs off of a JP wad for Wii VC, I assume it's best for me to just use my own console for the run?  Also, do I need to mention ahead of time I'd like to sit on a chair in front of the couch cause of nearsightedness/being used to being pretty close to TV?

We only ask about windowed mode as a fallback when games use really stupid resolution switches/etc that can break capturing. Not typically an issue. You're fine if you can do 1280x960 (4:3).

Yeah, anything on Wii VC it's best to use your own console. Sitting on a chair is a common thing, you do not need to request it. We do use fairly large CRTs for the marathon room though, so you might be able to sit on the couch anyway.
