As expected, high concentrations in the bay area and the northeast coast. The DFW area is a speedrunner's ghost town... I guess that makes me the sheriff.

I grew up in Keller, fwiw. As did the other people currently located in College Station. I agree that it's shockingly desolate compared to some other major metropolitan areas.
I would add myself but somehow I don't think the map is accurate unless many of us are operating out of private yachts . . . obviously someone screwed with the map.
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that Google Maps offers revision control like Google Docs, or if it does, it isn't visible to non-map owners like myself.
Also, on the assumption that whoever messed with the map was trying to make a certain... political statement, my favorite part is the one where he or she did it wrong.

*sigh* Sad when someone has to go ruin something like that, especially, as you mention, they're idiots while doing it.
Hey everybody from Greenland! Let's get together and do another charity marathon to get us money to fly back home to where we belong! It's called We're Cold Fly Us Home Done Quick!
It's not the work of a poorly-educated racist, it's an homage to Dungeon 3 of Zelda.
Anyway, I moved the markers off the land masses (not including Greenland) so that there will be no confusion about which markers have been fixed yet and which haven't. The only one I was unsure about was "ukm101". Does anyone know if he's supposed to be in Texas?
Probably the easiest way to fix them will be to delete the entry and re-enter it. It'll be a lot of work given the number of entries, but if properly coordinated, we can do it.
Anything I've fixed I'm changing to a green pointer.

Ask and you shall receive. Added myself as well as Player 2, mpeebs97 and ukm101 to College Station, TX.
Yes, as confirmed by Flip's post back on page 1.
Edit: Done a couple of dozen. Google maps keeps dicking around with me, so I'll stop for a while.
OK, I fixed myself, but somehow managed to create a duplicate that I can't seem to delete. The correct one is the green Bike icon, if anyone else knows how to get rid of markers.

fixed.
I moved people around a little too, so they should be closer to their location as far as I can tell and easier to fix eventually... the people still in the ocean I didn't place.
... =\ who's still screwin with this? Good to know that "Dildo, Newfoundland" lives where I do though. Oh and I was in Newfoundland! cool guess that makes me a dildo?
Took me a second too mike. You have to log into a gmail account (yours) then go to that page and you will have the option to edit the map and add markers.
Yes, editing requires being logged in. I "fixed" a few that had easy-to-find cities in their descriptions. Fortunately it seems the text descriptions were left untouched, so with a little work most of the runners can be returned to their proper places.
I think we need a new requirement: If you add your name to the map, you need to include the city and state (or country) to ensure that when stuff like this happens, we can move them back quickly.
I put myself back in place and tried to move a few others into their approprate states and UK
