Joe should've used Tenebrae because I don't like how the ZQuake effects look. Sad

Really great movie.

There's one thing I miss though: There should be a notice in the beginning of it, which says that it was not recorded in QW, but in RQ (or whatever you call it). Many of the tricks are easily performed in QW, but would take a Joe to perform in RQ. Everybody doesn't understand that Smiley

Anyway, as I said. Great Movie!

personally i loved the promo vid AND soundtrack, but about the visuals .. to the quake purist it looks like shit, however because of how it is, its more easy on the eye to other people who might watch it.

Although really its similar to putting say highlighter green food colouring in a pint of beer.  Of course a lot of people will just ask WHY !! while the rest won't care as long as they still get pissed Smiley

we need to consider the fact that it's a promo video, i.e. not for us, the purists. it's done to promote speedrunning to others and to do that we need smashing graphics etc.

Besides, if you moan about the gfx you're a whining bastard and noone likes those anyway Tongue

Since in the name there is "SDA", ppl should know it's recorded under Normal Quake. Well, at least I don't know about a QW SDA.......
about colors: there's still larger amount of ppl who like the hires textures, so if you don't like it I'm sorry, but I can't do a movie which EVERYBODY would prefer.

Orbs, stop being so negative towards the SDA promo video, just because you and a 'few' others don't like the look of the video, it doesn't mean that everybody share your opinion. You've already uttered your opinion, so there's no need to keep nagging like you do. The video is meant as a promo video for SDA, it's meant to attract other people to our site than those who already know of SDA. It's a way of showing those who hasn't seen Q1 speedrunning before, what it's all about. And as far as I can see from all the comments we've gotten, most of them are positive, ALSO towards all the eye-candy!

So stop being a bitch or I will have to kick you silly in the donots!  :cheers:
