This is a fun little platformer/shooter that came out on Steam not too long ago. Any%, my best so far is 47:26: http://www.twitch.tv/mwelsh/c/5125058
It's new, so tons of improvement to be made. I'm sure there's lots of techniques still to be discovered!
A quick brain-dump of some strats so far:
I've been getting the dash boots in my runs. Originally, I wasn't sure if they were worth it. It takes 2+ minutes to get them, and the other runners were getting comparable times without them. But after my latest run, I think they definitely save time with optimal use. You don't get knocked back if you get hit while dashing, so dashing through enemies becomes a really useful technique in a lot of rooms. It definitely adds a lot of tension to the run, though. One failed attempt at getting the boots, and it's RIP.
I'm not sure which ammo upgrades to get. I was avoiding them all at first, but lately I've been getting more of them. They're a few seconds out of the way, but they probably make up for it in general utility and fast boss kills (particularly Commando). Health upgrades are worthless, since the later enemies do such ridiculous damage.
The game's save data is stored in C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Local\Rex Rocket, that's good for backing up a save in key parts to practice. I've gone through and created saves for all the key checkpoints in the game. If it's useful to someone, I'll upload it!

A quick brain-dump of some strats so far:
- On top of the enemy RNG itself, the enemy spawns are sometimes random. You'll occasionally get a killer enemy layout. It forces you to improvise a bit.
- You can skip some dialogs by shot-jumping over NPCs, particularly the RGB tutorial dudes.
- In the mech section, when you have to jump, you can damage boost higher by jumping into a Helperb0t.
- Quick-ish kill on Commando-Bot by jumping behind him and spamming the radial gun/grenades. You don't get hit by him if you are behind him hugging the left wall, and then every bullet of a radial shot hits him for great damage.
- Going backwards after Teleport-Bot is a huge time saver. This avoids a really slow laser room and the room with 20 red Helpberb0ts which two-shot you. Using this route, there's a red Helperb0t at the entrance of one room that will instantly hit you back into the previous room. Luckily your I-frames from getting hit carry over, so you can go back into the room, wait a second, then kill him with the railgun.
- Intentional deaths in the tall laser room in the Engine Zone.
- For the switch puzzle with the laser walls, you can hit the two switches at the same time by standing between them and pressing up.
