Quicker Than a regular Comet!
Hi all, new to the SDA and mostly speedrunning in general so I thought I'd ask a quick question here before I'd upload the video and link.

SO , I've just finished my speedrun SUCCESSFULLY for the first time (hey, gotta get used to it all right?!) and then noticed something a little funny with my time.

My splits and timer all came down to 1:33:03 [H:Mm:Ss] BUT when the credits finished, the games internal timer come to 1:18:00.

As such, I gotta ask, WHICH TIME DO I GO WITH?!

Also, just a little note, currently just speedrunning and practicing and such on an emulator appears to be all fine and dandy, but obviously I fully intend on transfering over to real hardware once I figure out how to record with my crappy capture card. (If anyone knows of software that'll grab from an "Accelerator" capture card, that'd be great!)

And FINALLY, what software would I do to place a watermark on the video, as I've read apparently all runs need a watermark on them to to ensure no theft of runs happens.

Thanks in advanced for any replies!

For SDA submissions the internal timer is used because it's accurate. I think other communities also use it.
If you are using LiveSplit, there are autosplitter scripts that will make the IGT (in game timer) and your external split timer go par (check here: http://www.speedrun.com/re2/forum).
Hey, im not sure if it will work with accelerator for certain but you can try the free version of Debut video capture. It's what I use for recording from my Dazzle and it seems to be pretty good with some other capture devices.
