When in doubt, use explosives.
I'm using an Elgato Game Capture HD capture card, recording Okami HD at 720p60, recording with the bundled software named exactly after the card.

This ultimately produces an mp4 file in the end, but keeps the recorded .ts files in a separate folder in case you want to do some light editing like cutting and save another file.
So my segments will be 720p60 mp4 files. I'd like to use Anrichan to make the HQ, MQ and LQ files as well as the other awesome stuff Anrichan does.
And of course cut out quality tests.

Is this possible at all (with current Anrichan) or am I going to have to go a longer way around with AVS and VdubMod and stuff?
Thread title:
doesn't anri take .ts input or am i on crack?
When in doubt, use explosives.
From my playing around, I've found it takes *.m2ts and *.mts input. Either I'm blind or you're on crack.
You might have misread "doesn't anri take .ts input?" as 'anri doesn't take .ts input.'
reason i asked is if that card saves .ts files then you should be good to go.

Still got nothing. That is, if you include diddly squat, nada and bupkiss. Feels like I've tried every option in Anri at this point.
Created new project folder. Named it.

Says if I have an MPEG source (that would be the .ts file(s)) I should just type y to continue.
So I do. I've entered into the settings earlier, too, what folders to use so it's all good on that front.
But then there's nothing. Anri only complains about not finding any VOB or VRO files.
Then I can select a folder, Anri does its thing and lo and behold, cannot find the projectname_source.avs file.

Projectname_verifysource.avs is there, so is projectname.avs, but no _source.avs.
I'm not sure, but should I be posting in the Anri thread instead here?
yeah, that would probably be a good idea, too, since my knowledge of the specifics of anri is not that up to date.

just shooting in the dark, have you tried renaming whatever.ts to whatever.vob?
When in doubt, use explosives.
I had not. But have now.
It actually got further because now it actually found something it was looking for. Although, a renamed ts to vob is little more than a wolf in sheep's clothing. DGIndex started and couldn't find video sequence header data and no .pid files either. So it got essentially nowhere. It was a good enough idea though.
try renaming it to .m2ts.
When in doubt, use explosives.
This is quite interesting.
For one, renaming to .m2ts worked wonders when selecting AVCHD as source. I now, in a new project folder have the suspected .dga and .aac files generated by whichever process did its thing.
Second, for next file, I just type n and Anri still complains about not finding the _source.avs file and then wants to exit. Again.

I may be new with Anri, but this has me quite dumbstruck.
what's the project name? are there any non-basic latin characters in the project name or your project paths?
When in doubt, use explosives.
I tried that too just now, figured it could've been that underscore I use to keep certain folders at the top of the list.

But my most recent one was D:\Anrichan\Okami and it still would not work.

Could it be underscores in the .m2ts filename?

lame ... may need to wait for snow to weigh in.

Does it say it isn't finding _source.avs or that it isn't finding Okami_source.avs?

Do Okami.avs and Okami_source.avs both exist in D:\Anrichan\Okami ?

I'd try putting the m2ts in a directory without spaces in it.

If AAC is coming out of the indexing process, Anri won't know what to do with it. Wherever the bug is, it's going nowhere if it can't load AAC. Anyone want to patch it in? Wink I've stopped working on Anri, though ffmpegsource2 has me interested.

It can't find Okami_source.avs when Okami_verifysource.avs tries to import it (line 2).

No, only Okami.avs exists in the dir.

Nnnnnnoooooooooo Sad
did you try that thing i suggested about making a new master avi from the mp4?

When in doubt, use explosives.
I started one, and when the projected filesize with Lagarith started to go up to the 50gb numbers, I stopped and realized I needed to do this at a later point. And on my external drive.
So I'll have a look at it definitely, just not for another couple of hours.

Edit:

And hurray for 8fps encoding.

Edit2:
Interestingly, the audio when having encoded from the mp4 to Lagarith (audio direct stream copy in Vdub), and from Lagarith lossless back to mp4 with Anri is 3 times faster than it actually should be. Am I blatantly missing something here?
sounds like a sample rate issue ... you may need to, when you make the lagarith nmf in vdub, go to audio -> full processing mode and then audio -> conversion or whatever it is, to resample to 48000 hz stereo 16-bit, and be sure to check the "high quality" checkbox or whatever it is ... see if that solves it.
When in doubt, use explosives.
Nope, still the same thing.
Admittedly however, I did choose "no change" in the conversion menu, since it said "no change (48 000Hz)" and all the other values that you mentioned.
Should technically be the same as if I select the values manually, no?
can i get a short sample of the original video to play around with?
When in doubt, use explosives.
You may even have the actual file that I'm playing around with.
Just right-click and save as.

It's 173-174mb large, fyi. If you need something in a smaller size, I can get that done in a jiffy too probably.
Keep in mind too, that this was before I found how to record at 720p60, so this is 720p30, in case that matters.
you may have a bad codec installed. directshowsource() is kind of buggy. try copying the attached files to your avisynth plugins directory (probably c:\program files\avisynth\plugins\) and then opening this script:

Code:
ffvideosource("Intro.mp4")
audiodub(ffaudiosource("Intro.mp4"))

note that the script must be exactly as above. don't try to combine it into one line.

if you make lagarith nmf from that then it should work ... let me know.
When in doubt, use explosives.
It's working perfectly! Thanks for the help nate.
The codec pack I have both at work and at home is the CCCP pack.

I would definitely vote to include those files in the plugins pack in the SDA KB.
Sorry guys, but it seems to be the only thread about my problem of DVD recorder and video format.  I have a question about my camcord video output format may i ask. I have a vro file that cannot be recognized by my VLC player, so I use this VRO converter (http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/vro-converter.html) to convert the vro video format to mp4. After the conversion the VRO file can play again,  the output contains no audio and no sound. Did you guys ever met a similar problem? VLC can play VOB very well because  I have checked. It should be similar to VOB,  but why VRO cannot be recognized by VLC, it doesn't make any sense. Is there any ways to directly play VRO video on my PC rather than using any third-party video converter?
