Earthbound is a great game
Would anyone be interesting in a speed run of Red Steel? I didn't see anything on the site mentioning it, and I was going to attempt one (of course after I get the game re-beat again).

It's not the best game on the Wii <_<

I have yet to finish it, because the game is bugged. I could not load one of my savegames, thus I had to start over.

Even so, it's a pretty linear game. There's not much speedrun-ability to it since it looks as though a good few parts of the game revolve around killing the opponent before moving on.

I'd enjoy watching the game ripped apart.  Good luck if ya decide to do it.

How does that affect the speedrunability? It just means one would need to kill the enemies quickly...

Well, soon as I invest in a DVD recorder (with harddrive  ;D) I think I'll give this game a shot at speed running.  .. damn dictionary's saying "speedrunning" as one word isn't a word... But I'll start playing it again, and start planning out a route.

And I've never really had a problem with the aiming...

THE GAME!!
The game controls aren't awful, you just need to keep the Wii Remote on the screen. I like Red Steel and i'd love to see a run of it!!

I'm just glad that the Red Steel controls are a product of Ubisoft being lazy and not the Wiimote itself.

THE GAME!!
I've never been a fan of Ubisoft games, but this is probably the first. I haven't actually completed it yet, so I can't really estimate a time sorry....

I love this game's multiplayer (I've never lost  ;D) but I keep finding different glitches that stops me from beating the level I'm on.

Well, school starts in 2 days, my car requires gas, and I need to save for post secondary... so it may be a bit before I get myself a dvd-recorder.  And have time to practice.  But I will try to get this done someday.

Well, I happen to have some time the other day, and given my running of the first few levels in chapter 1.
1: 7:4x
2: ... Crap.. Don't remember.. think it was 15 something

I think I can probably get the first chapter done in under an hour with some luck with the aiming, and the AI not hating me liek it does some nights in the sword fighting ><

On the Giesha level you can skip the sword fight with the woman on the platform if you go up the the lift then straight back down and up again.  Not sure if this would be quicker then just fighting her tho. Also you have to deal with the zoomed in view that you get when entering a fight, but only till the next sword fight which isnt very far.

Red Steel's aiming is great... I hope all the other shoot em up's that come out on wii are this kind of system.

Red Steel is also a sweet game.. completed it a fair few times, it's so satisfying just getting headshots all throughout the levels. just running through with a handgun instant kills bam bam bam...... ok i'm getting carried away, but still love it!

A speed run of this game would be great, id definitely watch it.

104% completion........... I got a B rank in Respect points on one of the levels:(

Perhaps it'd be best if there was just a table of individual level runs.  A single session sounds like a bit much.  Then again, there was Perfect Dark...

Ok, me and my friend have decided to run red steel as no one else seems to be.  Just wondering would it be better to do a segmented run throughout the story.
OR
Do individual levels in the Select a level and play mode.(skiping parts inbetween missions like the bar and the temple where you train)

Any ideas?
