Type of quality test: Final Encode (? not sure what OBS local recording coverted using VSDC counts as)
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1
Capture hardware: NVidia GeForce 770 GTX, Intel i7 3770K @3.50 GHz, 16 GB RAM
Capture software: OBS Studio (19.0.3) as .mkv, converted to MP4 using VSDC Video Editor v5.7.3.644
Capture video resolution: 1920x1080p, downscaled to 1280x720p in OBS (capture set to 60 FPS)
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (using PC Ultimate Edition on Steam, also available on 360 and PS3)
Encoding
Software: OBS Studio 19.0.3 (in application encoding/recording), converted to .mp4 using VSDC v5.7.3.644
Recording Format: .mkv converted to .mp4 using software for PC capture
Encoder: x264 in OBS, H.264 and AAC via re-encode in VSDC. Encoder mode set to Constant quantizer (QP)
Rescale Output: 1280x720 using Bilinear (originally 1920x1080), no change in VSDC
Rate Control: CBR
Bitrate: 5000
Keyframes: 0
CPU Useage Preset: Faster
Profile: High
Notes
The settings here are so I can stream while recording longer categories and upload more effectively with smaller video size. The test video was recorded while stream was active to test. IL runs would be done at non-downscaled quality with higher bitrate. This is a longer video (~4:30 mins) to test various visual style in the game (snow and rain effects, menuing, no/low/medium/fast movement, splash effects, OoBs)
