It looks like most e2m6 100% demos have the lift usage well synchronized. But this one even more so than I remember normally seeing. Bravo! It always gives the nice impression that the section can't be improved because of the lift. Quad also seemed to last just long enough. Me like.
Very nice demos that Stubby is making. We can't expect less from the NH-King!
Does my e1m1_102 and e1m2_103 fit for this project? Because I'm thinking they do, and they provide a 4 seconds improvement combined. Just thought I'd mention it since it's been a while since I sent them in, and I see no updates on the project page.

Actually, they don't but then the old e1m2 didn't either! There's a problem with rocket usage, and probably e1m5 needs to be re-done. Your e1m2 is actually better, it exits with more rockets.
New demos (well, two aren't exactly new): e1m1_102 and e1m2_103 by Arturo Garcia Lasca, e4m7_127 by Aleksander Osipov. All total 19 seconds of improvements over Stubgaard's demos, with e4m7 saving 15 seconds and 2 seconds saved on e1m1 and e1m2 each.
D: But commentary is awesome! It's a big thing in run popularity these days, too.
Also, Quake speedrunning has such a wealth of tricks and strategies which the average viewer has no comprehension of; it really deserves some decent explanation, something our community has somewhat withheld from 'the other guys', historically.
So Dex, any news on how long we will have to wait till this project sees the light of day...?
Oh and btw, could you send me the most recent pak file along with the text file, please? I'd like to release it as a pak file at least, and maybe try and bug someone else into making videos.
commentary would be great! and I'm also wondering if we could get some info when this would see the light of day? Not that I'm complaining, I'm also lazy.
I decided to make a movie about the Qd100Qst project. I would like to know your opinion about the look of the movie, coz I think It would be nice to make it as a hi quality textured, particled quake video (with an available 60 fps version of course). I've created a test video from Alex's e4m7 1:27 with hi resolution textures and quake3 style particle effects used. The reason why I used e4m7 is that it contains many effected monsters like vores, shambles, tarbabies, underwater scenes and a few colorful areas. The test video is 720p / 60fps so you would see something similar as the final product. Please check out the video and tell me what you think. link: ftp://qdqst:j0zzz@ftpwt.com/e4m7_127.mp4
I forgot to mention that the video is compressed with x264 codec, so if you encounter any issues with playback, you can either download and install the latest ffdshow codec pack http://www.free-codecs.com/download/ffdshow.htm and play the video in windows media player or just use VLC player http://www.videolan.org which has built-in codec support.

thx in advance!
Hi Joe. You know from our conversations that I'm REALLY stoked about this, so there's no need to elaborate more on that :-)
Just wanted to tell you that the link you posted for the video doesn't work, at least not for me.
