I stumbled across this little trick that many people in Europe or the UK might want to use. I don't know if this is a well known trick or not but here goes.
A company called Mercury manufacture PSU and call them "switching power supply": http://avslgroup.com/en/product/660.444UK
It has various "plugs" (8 in total) which is why it is called "switchable" and one of them fits an NTSC SNES perfectly. This is only half the battle as you may know. The best thing here is that the PSU also outputs DC 9V. The NTSC SNES states DC 10V but I've tried it and works perfectly. It's also pretty cheap and more reasonable than having to use a step down transformer.
