I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Ok, i have SERIOUS problems with this program. Everything i try to record is a SLIDESHOW. I'm trying to record my run of Lego Star wars. I usually run the game at 1600x1200, but because i don't want my game to slow down while playing, i'm now running it at 800x600. Even at this resolution, and with all the graphic effects on the game turned off, camtasia still records a slideshow. IS THERE SOMETHING I'M MISSING!?

Specs:
P4 3.4 w/HT
ATi 9800XT
80GB HDD SATA
1 Gig PC-3200 RAM

Had low framerate problems using Camtasia too. PC is 2.4GHz 3400+, 1GB 3200 RAM, 74GB Raptor HD and was trying to record 640x480 at 60fps. Switching to FRAPS solved the problem.

If there's another way to speed up Camtasia capture, I'd like to know.

The only game I've had success with Camtasia is Starcraft. With 3D games it's either a slideshow, a rainbow swirl, or both.

I'd go for FRAPs.

There is another program called HyperCam out there: http://www.hyperionics.com/hc/index.asp. Its capture method is most likely similar to Camtasia, so I doubt you will see significant preformance improvement (if at all). But you won't know until you try. Good luck!
